Colin's POV

"Remember when I told you Jalissa was in a car accident?"

After learning the truth about the accident, I decided to call the only person I knew to call.

"Yeah."

"Well, it wasn't an accident."

"Don't play with me, Colin," Stephanie said. "What do you mean it wasn't an accident?

"That girl, Corrine & my ex, Chrystal, are sisters; they planned it."

She didn't say anything for a while, so I thought she got disconnected until...

"Why am I just now hearing about this?!"

I moved the phone away from my ear before she blew out my eardrum. "Jalissa didn't want me to tell you because she knew you'd act like this."

"Then why did you call me?"

"Because I know how protective you are over her. And because I can't hit a woman."

"Don't worry about it. I'm coming out there, and I'm gonna handle it.

"Alright."

We hung up, and Logan took the phone out of my hand. I heard the camera shutter, then she gasped.

"What happened?" I chuckled.

She giggled and said something in gibberish while waving the phone in the air.

I chuckled again, picked her up and kissed her cheek. "I love you and your mom so much, and I'm not gonna let anything happen to you guys again."

a few days later..

Stephanie's POV

When Colin called me the other day, I wasted no time getting my stuff packed to go to San Francisco. But someone decided to tag along, and I didn't know how to feel about it.

"Why did you even come?" I asked, getting my suitcase. "You don't even like Jalissa."

"Don't be stupid, Steph," Jasmine said, following me outside. "She's my little sister, and no one's gonna mess with her."

That was kinda sweet, I guess.

I put the address Colin sent me into the GPS and drove for thirty minutes until we pulled up to this house. We walked up to the front door, I knocked, and Chrystal answered.

"Are you Chrystal Elder?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes. Who are you?" she asked back, kinda snobbish.

So much attitude for someone that's about to get dragged to hell and back.

"I'm Jasmine Tucker — Jalissa's sister."

Chrystal's eyes bugged out and she tried to run back in the house, but Jasmine grabbed a fistful of her hair and dragged her outside. She then started throwing punches and stomping Chrystal's face into the ground. I'd never seen Jasmine go so hard for Jalissa before.

"Chrystal, whe— oh my God!"

Corrine came outside, and I didn't even think twice before I hit her. I thought about how Logan & Jalissa could've got seriously hurt in that accident and it only made me angrier, so I started punching her harder.

If it weren't for the police officer that pulled me off of her, she'd probably be dead right now.

Jalissa's POV

"Maybe I should just move back to Atlanta."

I'd been contemplating moving back home since I found out the truth. There was way too much drama in San Francisco for me.

"No!" Colin shouted, making me giggle a little. "I mean, why do you wanna go back home?"

"Colin, I've never had someone hate me so much to the point where they wanted me dead. Well, except Jasmine, but I like to believe I'm a nice person, and I never bother anyone; what did I do to deserve this?"

I started crying, and he pulled me onto his lap, embracing me in a hug.

"You didn't do anything, baby girl; you're probably the sweetest person I know. Some people are just unnecessarily cruel. Like Daniel said, they're just jealous of you. So please, don't leave me."

I smiled against his neck and laughed at how childish his last sentence sounded. "I seriously love you, Colin."

"I love you more, baby. I don't know what I'd do without you."

I lifted my head off his shoulder and looked into his eyes before I gently pressed my lips against his.

Before anything got too intense, the doorbell rang, and Colin groaned against my lips.

"I'll go see who it is," I said, getting off his lap.

I went to open the door, only to see Stephanie and...Jasmine with big smiles on their faces and a cop standing behind them.

Oh God. What did they do?
