•Jalissa's POV•
I've been in San Francisco for two weeks, and I like it. I like my new job much more than my old job, and I like the new school. I think I'll like living out here.
After class, I went to the library at the school. I went upstairs, and I must say I was fascinated. This library is so much nicer than my last school's.
God, I'm such a nerd.
I was looking for a medical book when out of corner of my eye, I saw this woman staring at me. She looks a couple years older than me and judging by the way she's dressed, she's wasn't a student. But then again, I could be wrong.
I've only been in San Francisco for two weeks, so I know I don't know her. She took it upon herself to approach me though. Maybe she knows me.
She stopped beside me and scowled at me without saying a word.
"Can I help you?" I asked, looking at her.
"Stay away from Colin," she spat.
I knew she wasn't a student.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me! Stay away from him," she repeated.
"Um, okay?"
I walked away from her to go to a different section of the library since they didn't have what I was looking for. As I was walking, I noticed she was following me.
"Do you need something?" I turned around to ask her.
"Yes. I need you to stay away from my man," she said.
I kinda laughed at her, even though I didn't mean to. She just sounded so stupid.
"Oh my God, who are you? And how'd you find me?" I asked, turning my attention to the book shelf.
"I'm his girlfriend," she said proudly.
Girlfriend?
"That's good to know," I said, walking away.
I continued looking around for a different book, but shorty would not leave me alone.
"I'm warning you. If you don't stay away from him, I'll make your life a living hell," she said.
"Too late," I laughed.
I finally found the book, but lil mama took it out my hand and glared at me. How childish.
I cocked an eyebrow, not threatened by her at all. "Am I supposed to be afraid of you?"
I watched her glare disappear and turn into a more confused look. She obviously wasn't used to someone talking to her the way I did.
"I didn't think so."
I snatched the book back and left, leaving her in the library with a dumbfounded look on her face. In my two weeks of living here, that may have been the most interesting thing to happen to me.

I went back to Colin's house for a minute to rest before I had to go to work. When I walked in, Colin was on the couch with Logan, and she was just giggling her life away.
Music to my ears.
I went in and sat next to them, and Logan crawled toward me. I picked her up, and she gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Awww, I missed you too, mama," I said before kissing her forehead.
"How was class?" Colin asked.
I glared at him for a second, then turned my attention back to my daughter. "Logan, guess what? This crazy lady followed Mommy around all day because of Daddy."
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
"I met your girlfriend today," I said, a little standoffish.
He furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. "Lis, I don't have a girlfriend."
That, low key, made me feel better.
"Well according to lil mama at the library, you do," I chuckled.
"Who?"
I shrugged. "There was this woman following me around the library, and she told me I need to stay away from 'her man,'" I said.
"Was she kinda tall, light skin with curly brown hair?" I nodded. "That's my ex, Chrystal. She didn't scare you, did she?"
"Hell no. I mean, she tried to, but I wasn't phased by it."
"I'm so sorry about her," he said.
"I'm not really worried about her," I said, kissing Logan's nose.
"So, what does your schedule look like tomorrow?" he asked.
"I don't have anything to do. Why?"
"I don't have practice, so I was thinking the three of us could have a family day."
"That sounds good," I yawned.
"Why don't you go get some rest," he said, taking Logan. "I'll wake you up when it's time."
"Thank you," I said, getting off the couch.
I kissed Logan's forehead and started to head upstairs, but Colin grabbed my hand.
"Don't I get a kiss too?" he pouted.
I playfully rolled my eyes and bent down to kiss his forehead, but he caught my lips instead.
"Have a nice nap," he smirked.
"Yeah, thanks," I smirked back.
I went up to the bedroom and lied on the bed, sinking into the soft sheets. After a minute or two, I allowed myself to relax and drifted off to sleep.
