•Colin's POV•
Since Jalissa didn't have to work today and she said she wasn't going to school, I figured she could come to practice with me.
After I got out of the bathroom, I lied beside her and placed a soft kiss to her forehead. "Baby girl?"
"Hm?"
"Do you wanna go with me to practice?" I asked quietly.
"Sure."
Her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled at me. Even after she wakes up, she's the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on.
"Don't look at me," she said, covering her face. "I'm hideous."
"No you're not," I said, putting her hands down.
She rolled over on her stomach to hide her face in the pillow. "If you say so, Colin."
I chuckled as she got up to go to the bathroom. While she got ready, I went to give Logan a bath and get her dressed.
I went back in the bedroom, with Logan in my arms, and Jalissa was already dressed.
"You ready?"
"Yes."
"Alright. Let me put on a shirt and we can go," I said, handing Logan to her.
I put my shirt on and after Jalissa got Logan's bag, we left.

After practice, some of us went to the locker room to shower & change, while everyone else just left. Once everybody was decent, I led Jalissa into the locker room.
The only ones left were Frank, Anquan, Vernon & Quinton, but I figured she wouldn't mind since she's shy.
"Y'all, this is Jalissa & Logan. Lis, this is Quinton, Vernon, Anquan & Frank," I said, introducing everyone.
"Hi," Jalissa said shyly, and they all greeted her with a smile.
"So you're the girl that has Kaep's head in the clouds, huh?" Vernon asked her.
"I uh, I guess so," she said.
"Are y'all dating?" Anquan asked.
She laughed nervously and pushed some hair out of her face. "Nah. We're just friends."
They all nodded while we all had a nonverbal conversation. Everyone knew I was kinda interested in Jalissa, even though they didn't know her, so they wanted to know why we were still only friends.
"Well," Quinton started, trying to change the subject. "Your little sister is cute. What's her name?"
"Actually," I interjected, "she's our daughter, and her name is Logan."
All the guys looked at each other and laughed, thinking it was a joke. When they realized I wasn't joking, the laughter died down quickly.
"Wait, what?" Anquan asked, blinking a few times.
"Logan is mine & Jalissa's daughter," I repeated.
"So...those rumors were true?" Frank asked.
I nodded. "I didn't say anything because y'all know I try to keep my personal life private."
They all looked around and basically nodded in agreement.
"Well, congratulations," Vernon said, "she is a cute kid."
"Do you wanna hold her?" Jalissa asked him, "because she keeps staring at you."
"Sure."
She handed Logan to Vernon, but she didn't stay with him long because Michael walked in.
"Logan!" he shouted as soon as he saw her. "Uncle Michael missed you."
He took Logan from Vernon, and she just giggled.
"She loves her Uncle Mike," he said confidently.
"Crab, don't get too cocky," I said, "yesterday, a cup fell over, and she laughed for five minutes straight."
"Whatever. She's still loves her Uncle Michael," he said, giving Logan back to Vernon. "Kaep, can I talk to you for a second?"
We stepped outside of the locker room, and he got really serious.
"Have you asked her yet?" he asked.
"No."
He dropped his head and let out a short sigh. "What are you waiting for? I mean, you see her everyday, and you still haven't asked the girl to be ya woman. What? Are you scared?"
My parents & Devon asked me the same thing yesterday. Maybe I am taking too long.
"No, I'm not scared."
"Yeah, you are," he said casually, "look, she's a pretty girl. If you wait too long, someone else might come along and take her."
Those were the last words he spoke before going back into the locker room, leaving me to think about what he said.
