When Noya J̶u̶n̶e̶ thinks too much.

The two- Nishinoya Yuu and Iwata June- had walked around downtown, wondering where they would eat that afternoon. Noya, who was usually loud and bouncy, had gone silent ever since they left the public library. June would occasionally glance down at his companion, a little nervous as to why the other wasn't talking.

Iwata June, who was used to the rowdiness of the people around him, wasn't used to the silence. It was probably why he was a lot closer to the Miya Twins than Kita, who shared the same class as him back in Inarizaki. Moreover, even his aunt and cousin were pretty loud people even though they didn't look like it.

Furthermore, his own parents were on the... eccentric side.

Maybe Noya didn't wanna hang out..? Doubt began to cloud June's heart as hesitated whether or not he should pretend that something came up. Man, I really shoulda asked Koushi 'bout this 'nstead of decidin' myself. Perhaps next time, June should ask his cousin or even his aunt for advice on how to woo someone.

To the poor third-year libero who was as dense as his crush, he was unaware that the boy he'd taken a liking to had already reciprocated his feelings.

"S-Senpai..!" After an awkward silence, Noya finally manned up and broke the quiet between them. "Eh? Er, yah? What's up, Noya?" June blinked and resisted the urge to clench his chest from the shock. Could the other libero not scare him like that?

"- vor."

"Huh? Didja say somethin'?"

"WHAT FLAVOR OF POPSICLE DO YOU LIKE?!"

"..." Everyone around them halted to shoot glances at Noya whose face began to burn in embarrassment. The sudden question startled June. "Flavor? I actually like ice cream more. 'Samu always bought chocolate-coated vanilla ice cream." While June was busy musing about his time with the twins, the name that left his lips caused Noya to stiffen.

Samu? Who's Samu?!

Turmoil began to make a mess inside of Noya's mind. He hadn't expected another guy's name out of his senpai's lips in this little hangout of theirs. Wait, this isn't even a date! Internally, the little libero cried. RYU, BRO, I NEED YOUR HELP!

While he was panicking, June grew worried. Maybe he really should just cancel the hangout? "Noya-"

"Senpai, who's 'Samu?!"

"..." - insert a comically wide-eyed June

"..." - insert a petrified Noya who wished he disappeared like dust right there and then.

"Pfft-" June let out a stifled laugh, causing Noya to burn in embarrassment. "He was mah kouhai from mah last school." For some reason, the embarrassed face Noya was making right now touched June's heart. He liked to believe that this little kouhai of his was jealous and he was right! Though, he didn't know about that.

June placed a hand on top of Noya's head. "Dun worry 'bout it. Even though that lil' shit makes one hella onigiri, you're still mah fav'rite one, Noya."

... TISSUE! I NEED TISSUE! OR AN AMBULANCE OR ANYONE TO SAVE ME. SENPAI, YOU'RE LIKE A GOD! Noya stared at that beaming face of his crush, his heart beating faster than when he first saw that gorgeous smile from the first time they met. Wait, onigiri? Is that the same person he mentioned before? Senpai likes onigiri?

Noya's thoughts were all over the place and from his disorganized thoughts, he formulated a possible conclusion that his Iwata-senpai might like that 'Samu person!

NO! I have to make senpai like me!

Noya's makin' that determined lil' face again... so cute.

And so, these two denser than rocks moved on with their little 'date,' oblivious to each other's feeling for one another.
