When Yuu gives his all...

"A murder of crows..." June spoke up just before Karasuno entered the court. This caused everyone to stop and look at him, especially Yuu who still hadn't let go of his hand. "... is capable of challengin' an eagle head on. In this match, yer up against a colony of seagulls. Even last year, they're a bunch of scary folks that shut down our ace."

Their minds recalled the foreign-looking player from Inarizaki and Asahi felt a cold breeze brush passed him. "But volleyball ain't about just skills and height. It's 'bout gettin' back up tah yer feet faster than yer opponents, keepin' the ball longer in the air, 'n' who gets tah stay in the court longest. Sometimes, Lady Luck ain't on our side but perseverance 'n' stubbornness will make up for it."

June gave them a bright and wide smile, one that not only energized Yuu but everyone else as well. "Karasuno, even though I had given up on volleyball, I still wanna see ya guys climb to the top. Other than Yuu—" June glanced Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Kageyama, and Hinata with a pointed stare. "— I'm lookin' forward tah see the four of ya cause chaos against Kamomedai."

"..." - insert silence before Tanaka and Yuu bursted out crying, the four mentioned first years and Asahi felt touched (with Hinata bouncing in excitement), and Daichi and Koushi patted June on the back with a rather loud smack, causing the tall libero to stumble forward.

"Man, you just have to be cheesy before the match, huh?" Koushi chuckled at his cousin.

"But we'll definitely show you in interesting match, June!" Daichi grinned and responded to June's words.

"That's right," Asahi joined in, a determined look marring his features. "We'll definitely reach the top."

Meanwhile, Hinata and Kageyama didn't know what to say and ended up stuttering incoherent things. Hinata because this was actually the first time June encouraged them to such a degree and Kageyama because he respected June as a skilled volleyball player.

Tsukishima simply thanked him and Yamaguchi stuttered his out.

On the other hand, Yuu was incredibly touched. Even though June joined them in practices on occasion, he always had everyone at arm's length. It was only thanks to Yuu's persistence that he had managed to close that gap and become what he is now towards June.

And then, he remembered that nightmare he had once; where there might be a reality out there that June didn't exist. Yuu might still travel in the future and maybe have Asahi tag along whenever he was free but Yuu didn't think he'd be giving his affection to anyone. He might stay single for the rest of his life, going from places to places, and enjoying the world.

If June wasn't there, there was no one he would give his heart to.

If June wasn't there, Yuu might as well marry the world instead of someone else.
