A few days later, Axel was back at training with the other guys, as his leg was completely healed.

He noticed Bobby acting strange, looking up at the bridge. When Axel decided to do the same, he couldn't believe who he saw.

Eventually the rest of the team noticed the two of them staring up at the bridge, so they came to see what was distracting them.

"Is he here to spy on us?"

"Nah, I think he's here to laugh at us."

"For exiting the tournament without a fight!"

Jude started walking away.

Axel rolled his eyes. "Whatever reason he's here, he's making me angry. Who the fuck does he think he is?"

Mark ran up to talk to Jude.

"Sorry for spying,"he said. "And about Bobby. And about Wintersea."

"Oh, it's fine,"Mark shrugged. "Bobby enjoys soccer, so we're happy."

"I envy you guys."

"Huh?"

"I mean your teamwork. My victories feel hollow. We don't have pure skill. It's all because of our commander....."

"That's not true, though!"

"What would you know about it?!"Jude yelled back.

"Oh, stop monologuing! I've taken a ton of your shots. You're strong as fuck!"

Meanwhile, back at the pitch, Axel was pacing back and forth.

"Fuck it, I'm going up there,"said Axel.

"No your not,"said Nathan. "Let them talk it out."

"Nah. I won't let him talk to Mark like that. It looks like he's insulting him!"

"Mark doesn't seem too offended....."

"Oh shut up, pretty boy,"Axel said as he ran up.

Nathan stared at him in disbelief. That was the second time he was called pretty. Even though the first time was in a dream, so it didn't really count.

"Hey, what are you saying about Mark?"said Axel angrily. "I'll beat the shit out of you if it's necessary!"

Jude and Mark both laughed.

"What? What am I missing out on?"

"I was just asking him to practice with us, actually,"Mark smiled.

Axel was in disbelief. "Huh? It didn't look so friendly from down there."

Jude half smiled. "I guess we're both very expressive people. Nice to formally meet you, Axel."

Axel looked at the ground. "You too, I guess."

"You guys are really cute together,"Jude said.

Axel rolled his eyes. "God, not you too!"

Jude smiled. "Do you not get it? You guys have great teamwork, and, uh, you seem like good friends too."

Axel relaxed. "I thought you were going to say in a gay way."

"Oh, I was, I just haven't gotten to that part yet,"Jude shrugged.

Axel looked pained, and Mark just laughed.

"I just think you guys are cute, and I hope whatever issues you're having, you work it out,"said Jude.

"What do you mean?"said Mark.

"My gaydar is never wrong,"Jude laughed.

"I swear everyone in this town has an amazing gaydar,"Axel grumbled. "It doesn't even make sense at this point."

Mark and Jude both laughed.

"I can't speak for anyone else, but I have a good gaydar because I'm gay. I thought everyone knew."
