3- a exhibition game?

Mark couldn't stop fidgeting outside the principals office.

"Mark Evans?"Mr Raimon called.

Mark was already sweaty from nervousness.

He saw Mr Raimon, Coach Wintersea, and the chairman's daughter Nelly, standing behind the desk.

"You had something to tell me?"Mark asked nervously.

Coach Wintersea looked grave. "Your team has been challenged to an exhibition game."

Mark burst into a smile and ignored Coach Winterseas strange body language.

"A game? We finally get to play a game!"

"You opponent will be Royal Academy,"Coach Wintersea said.

Mark's grin soon disappeared and was replaced by a shocked expression. "ROYAL ACADEMY?! THE STRONGEST TEAM IN THE WHOLE OF JAPAN?!"

"We had the same reaction as you,"Mr Raimon said,"But isn't it great news? They've won the Soccer Frontier Tournament for 40 consecutive years!"

"But why do they want to play us?!"Mark had recovered from his shock a little bit, but he was still shaking. "We only have 7 players."

"If you lose the game the soccer club will be disbanded,"Nelly Raimon's soft voice echoed through the big office.

"Disbanded?!"

"Yup. I'd start gathering players if I was you,"Nelly smiled sinisterly.

Mark hated Nelly. She was a raging bitch and everyone knew it. She was always so entitled because her dad was the chairman.

"You can't do that Nelly!"Mark said annoyed.

"I can't. But he can,"Nelly gestures towards her father.

"She's right. If you lose we will disband the team,"Mr Raimon sighed. "We can't keep wasting our money on your soccer club that doesn't even play any games."

Mark looked annoyed. "But-"

"Actually you should listen to Nelly. She has authority too. She's the assistant director, and she actually does have nearly all of the authority I do, as my daughter,"Mr Raimon said.

Mark sulked. There was nothing he could do. It was hopeless. Unless.......

Mark relayed all of the information to his 6 teammates and Sylvia.

"You agreed? You said we'd play them?"Todd said in disbelief.

"Yes I did!"Mark said. "Our soccer club will probably be disbanded anyway! What do we have to lose?"

"Broken bones? You know Royal's reputation!"said Sam. "They'll destroy us!"

"We'll get squished like bugs!"Timmy exclaimed.

"There's no way we'll beat them!"Kevin sighed.

"We can't give up! What if we do win! Maybe we could even enter the Soccer Frontier!"Mark said hopefully.

"Well, whatever we do, we need more players. You guys actually need to get off your asses and start recruiting like Mark and I have been doing. We'll have a better chance then!"Sylvia said.

After their long day of trying and failing to recruit people, Mark was walking up his favourite hill to practice with his tire.

He thought that they had nearly recruited Nathan, a track and field club member, and Willy Glass, a nerd. Willy had conditions though, that he wanted to be the last player, so that he would look like a hero.

Mark was a little pissed off by it, but tried not to think about it.

Mark saw a figure at the top of the hill. He stared in disbelief. It couldn't be.

It was Axel Blaze.
