It turned out that Axel and Mark were way too drunk to take advantage of the fact that their beds were so close together, and as soon as they knew it, the sunlight was hitting them in the face.

"Man,"Kevin groaned. "I feel like shit."

"You didn't even drink that much,"Jude sighed. "Man, I'm glad we don't have school today."

"Agreed,"Axel stretched. "I think going to classes would actually kill me."

"Strictly no drinking tonight,"the coach said gruffly. "We need you guys in top shape for the match tomorrow."

Mark's stomach twisted with anxiety. He brought the covers over his head. "Oh man. It's tomorrow."

"It's so strange,"Jude sighed. "Everything that we've been training for leads up to this."

"Are we strong enough?"Celia asked worriedly.

"Of course!"Kevin yelled.

"We'll have to be,"Axel sighed. "Mark is so close to being able to perform his move."

"I hope I can do it in time."

"Absolutely no training for you today, Mark,"the coach said. "And that's an order. We don't want you getting concussed again. I'd say you'll be just about recovered for tomorrow."

"But I need to perfect the move! For tomorrow!"Mark retorted.

"I don't care,"the coach said grumpily. "If you play today, or even attempt to, you can basically give up our victory."

"That doesn't even make sense!"Mark argued.

"You'll hurt yourself,"said the coach. "I'd prefer you to just not know the move than be extremely injured and know it. If you're injured you won't be able to use it anyways."

Mark sighed.

"That's an order, Mark,"the coach turned to the others. "As for you guys, just try to relax, and also make sure that Mark stays out of trouble. I trust the rest of you."

"Hey!"Mark pouted.

"Don't worry,"Axel grinned. "I'll look after you."

Mark's expression softened. "Suddenly it doesn't sound so bad."

"That's the spirit,"the coach said. "Nelly's father wants us out of the school by 9."

There were murmurs of disappointment from the team.

"Can you change it, Nelly? I just wanna sleep in!"Nathan sighed.

"No can do. Plus, sleeping all day is not going to do much. Especially not on these cheap mattresses,"Nelly shuddered. "The only reason I slept at all was because I was so drunk I didn't fully realise what was happening."

The coach left the team to talk and get ready while he went to the kitchen to make ramen noodles for everybody. He also forced everyone to drink a lot more water.

"You'll need to drink a lot of water today. Get yourselves over the hangover. And stay hydrated for the big game, of course."

"Thanks, coach!"the team said in unison.
