Hi, how's everyone doing?
I hope this chapter will help anyone who's going through a hard phase in their life right now.
--- --- --- ---

Fugo doesn't want to stay any longer yet the adults around him won't stop talking. Champagne glass, bright chandelier, and classical music playing in the background. No one knows how long he's going to escape this battlefield. The war where the tongue is the weapon and astute attitude is the only right way.

When the servant passing by, Fugo placed his empty glass. That was his third glass of the night. It wasn't any strong alcohol at all since it is not allowed inside. It's just that it wasn't strong enough for Fugo to relax. And the night just started.

"Pannacotta, here, greet Signora Armani." His father stated and Fugo can see the madam in from of him is the one who will ruin his night.

"Signora Armani was the one who recommended your school," added his mother.

Madam Armani flashed her fan. "Long time no see Pannacotta. The last time I see you, you were a baby. Look at you now all grown up."

Fugo smiled, as best as he can if he doesn't want to get scolded later. He bowed and take the madam's hand to give a kiss. "Buona sera, Signora. Then I believe this is my first time meeting you. You are such a lovely madam."

The madam chuckled before closing her fan. "Pannacotta really is different from his two older brothers. Gosh, both of you are so lucky!"

The three adults quickly entangled in their old story. Fugo looked away to distract his mind for a while. Sadly the scenery in front of him is all the same. All the dress, gold, and diamonds made him sick. Everything looks the same. Everyone is similar to one another.

How can people live like this?

"And then? He's going to graduate next month?" The voice of madam Armani made Fugo to glancing back.

"Yes, isn't it great?" His mother laughed while the father is nodding.

"Gosh, that's a whole year faster than his brothers. Congratulations, Pannacotta."

"Grazie mille, Signora."

"Where are you going to work? Rome?"

"Yes, I already get accepted in a law firm there."

Madam Armani patted his shoulder. "You will do great, honey. I heard you have to take two years apprentices first? I'm sure you can do it faster. Who knows if you can also marry faster."

Fugo's eyebrows twitched a little. This old woman sure is spitting nonsense. The very moment Fugo saw this old woman, he knows it'll end up like this. Such an unnecessary comment over his life.

"I'm still young madam. Marriage is a bit..-"

"Aren't you twenty-two right now? You're more than enough!" The madam is turning her face to the parents. "Hey, you two, isn't Pannacotta is in the right age to marry? He has a good lineage. I'm sure you'll be blessed by smart grandkids. The previous kids are quite disappointing, aren't they?"

His parents are enthusiastically accepting the idea.

The father was laughing out loud. "We also thought the same. We want the best for him so we're still searching for the one who's good enough for our standard."

"Gosh, I don't think anyone I know is good enough!"

The three adults are laughing together. Completely absorbed in their own world where Fugo was nothing more than their tool. This battlefield is harsh.

Fugo eventually made the situation a chance for him to escape. Nothing good will happen if he stayed there any longer. He went to his car and made his way to nothingness.
