Hi, how's everyone doing today?
I hope everyone's doing well.

I've come with something.
This is the prize for the winner of my re-writing event.

adaincorff has asked for something magnificent. Thanks to her I'm able to write this masterpiece. Please enjoy this monstrous 5,3k words of fiction. I recommend reading it in a comfortable situation and read it slowly.

I'll see everyone again on 14th February.

The salty scent of the ocean lingering through the neighborhood. The sounds of waves crashing to the shore have become the background music to ears. People crowded here and there doing what should they do for a living. In peace, they're living full of laughter. On this beautiful island in Italy lives happiness and joy.

Fugo sees the whole scenery from distance. Far above where no one can see him. Not like people will see him wherever he is. If he could, he would be tearing up. Heart filling with adoration and longing. It would be nice. Just like he is clenching on his shirt on his left chest. There is nothing left in him but emotions and memories that has been keeping him sane. Though it nowhere near sanity.

The blue ocean and cloudless sky hugging him with pity. It was his home once, a long time ago where life was different. To think that he would be here makes him emotional. Truly destiny likes to play with him.

It should be over soon.

When the wind blows over he goes ahead to the promised place. A beautiful house right where the balcony is wide open. Fugo jumps over to the balcony, not making any sound, and there he stands facing a room that smells like oil. A messy room with canvas everywhere, on the floor, on the wall, painted or not. The curtain flutters along with the wind as someone enters the room.

It would not be too hyperbolic to say that it got him breathless. As if the moment stops right here right now. He missed the moment more than anything. For you, who is now in front of him for the first time since forever. You are the last on his list. Hundreds of years feel like nothing. The last job that he never stops thinking about.

He has seen you many times, more than he can count since it will hurt too much. You are not changing at all, no matter when and where you live, especially your name. Your name lives up forever that he gets sentimental from it every time. Everything about you, even the littlest thing remains the same.

Nothing can compare to those beautiful orbs of yours. Silky hair that shines when the sunlight hits. When you smile brightly as you dance and hum along to whatever is on your mind. You begin to prepare your workspace. A new white big canvas, fresh paint, a brush on your left hand.

Fugo finds himself smiling at the sight. Even now you are still left-handed. How adorable, how amusing, how brilliant. You're still who you are. He's wondering if he still the same too. After all, it was never easy since he left. Now he finally can reach you.

He was never allowed to get anywhere near you. So now, slowly, savoring the moment, he's taking steps forward. He would like to run yet he could not. Too close would be dangerous for both him and you. Too bad but it can't be helped. He should be patient.

For now, he should be satisfied by staying by your side. Closer, he can feel your warmth and beating heart. The sweet scent which he thought he forgot. All comes together hitting him like waves. Fugo's lips turn into a smile as he starts kneeling beside you.

He slid the hood off his head. The end of his cape seems to be wiping the floor. Since he has to be like this, he thinks this is his first time taking off his hood. There was no reason to anyway. You shall be the first person ever he sees so clearly like a sunny day in spring.
