Hi, how is everyone doing today?
I'm glad I asked the question on the previous chapter of what's your favorite chapter. Thank you for those who answer, it means a lot. The answer was all unexpected and I come to realize how my stories actually leave an impression on you. Also, I come to realize that I do love all of them and enjoy writing them. Each chapter has its own backstory and now that I remember all of them, it was nostalgic and fun.
Thank you for sticking with me and my stories everyone, I love you all ❤️

How do you like this one? I really enjoyed writing the reader's past..
--- --- --- ---What is there left to do other than admiring the stars? A simple question, or rather a simple principle you've held for long as you can remember. When you're left alone with nothing to grasp onto as the loudness of your mind taking over, and you're hopeless, the stars offer you peace. They're a friend, an old friend since long ago.
The universe never granted you an easy life. You were born as an illegitimate child, thrown away in an orphanage where the environment was toxic. Becomes the quiet kid you are, you have your own room where there was a window. Since then, you have always adored the stars. They're colorful, unlimited, and never said anything harsh to you. The stars were everything you need. Until one day you had enough, you ran away when you were seven to see the other part of the skies, to see the other stars. Everything can be wrong at that time, but your stand manifested when you were drowning. You survived.
Ten years, you grew up on the streets. You've been everywhere, doing anything, as you still can't find the best for you. At least you can learn, the thing you weren't able to receive back in the orphanage. You discovered your talent as an informant and have been live that way for years. It was then until a gang come to find you.
The gang was part of a mafia organization you later recognize as Passione. They were doing a mission and desperate for information because they can't get any hint. Everything should be fine until one of them messed up and accidentally dragging you into their mission. You didn't mind, especially when they were really kind to you. When the mission was over, Bucciarati offered you to join their group.
It's been almost half a year, and you find what you can call home. They accept you as part of the family. You are glad too that you can help them. Alongside with Fugo as the smartest and with your ability to gain information, you two can outsmart any enemy.
It's been a blessing. Despite everything, of course, you haven't forgotten your friends, the stars. Every time you can, you will look up the skies at night when it's clear. Most of the time, you'll sit on the roof, doing nothing but live with the stars.
"Um, [y/n]?"
"Fugo!" you yelled excitedly when you find Fugo not far away from you. "What's up?"
"I wanted to ask your opinion on something, but it looks like I'm interrupting you. You didn't even realize I'm coming. I really shouldn't disturb you watching the stars," he explained, a bit bashful as the cold wind brushed his red cheeks. "Nevermind, I'll ask you later."
"Nonsense." Your smile made him flinched. "Come sit here. Let's watch the stars while discussing whatever you need."
"Can I?"
"Yeah!"
He carefully crawled, balancing himself in order not to fall. You had to grab his hand eventually.
"Thanks." Fugo offered a smile, finally can sit right beside you.
"Can you let me watch the stars a little bit longer before we talk? It's been a long time since I last watching it like this."
"Yes, sure," he nodded as you look away to the stars. Fugo embraced his knees, also looking up to see what you've always admired. He heard thousand times of how much you love the stars. He never thought much about it because he doesn't find the stars to be that interesting.
"What do you think?"
"Yes?" He turned to you, finding you smiling gently at the stars. It hit him that he never saw you making that kind of expression before. You were always dazzling to him, just like the stars, but of course, the stars can't talk to him. "The stars?"
"Yes," you replied, turned to him. As you're covering him with the blanket you've been wearing, you continue. "I only had the stars for long ago. I had no one to trust. But, the stars, they're always there for me. By looking at them, I feel calm. Here, you hold that part."
"Thanks." Fugo holds the other side of the blanket you lend him. He's unexpectedly getting closer to you it made him nervous. Still, he can't hold back his smile. He was lying on asking your opinion while actually he just wanted to talk to you about life in general. "I think it's very admirable of you to have something you love."
"They keep me going in my darkest time. Though they can't talk, I'm happy enough to discover them at night. The night is a vulnerable time for me, and I think many people would agree."
"I agree."
You hummed, smiling at him before glancing back to the stars. Leaving Fugo silenced at a surprise because since he doesn't remember, he's been staring at you instead of the stars.
"There's darkness out there, the sky is an abyss with no end, and stars happen to be part of it. Just like our life, things happened, and you have to find even the littlest bit of happiness."
"You have a point," Fugo whispered into the wind, "I guess life is not that bad after all. Many good things did happen to me that I always neglect or refuse to admit."
"This is a good start for us to understand more about life."
"I'm glad that I can start with you."
"Life will found its way to us."
"I agree," Fugo said, pulling you to lean on his shoulder.
