There you go, everyone...
This is the last part of my second hanahaki au.
I'm losing my mind. I'm crying.
I was writing this while listening to 'Bella Ciao' the slowed version.. it adds the aesthetic, and pain.Anyway, I'm sure three chapters are enough to cover at least two weeks of my absence.., right?
Please stay safe and take care, everyone! ❤️🍓
--- --- --- ---Fugo wiped out sweats forming on his temples as he breathed out from his mouth. It's pouring heavily outside. Lightning was striking and thunder grumbling. In the meantime, he's working on some paper.
Another thirty days went by unnoticedly. He's not getting any better and Bucciarati bluntly forbid him from going to any mission if it's not extremely urgent. The others then were quick to notice how thin and pale Fugo has become. No one said a word about it. Bucciarati forced everyone to stay quiet. It doesn't matter anymore for Fugo. He's tired, but not tired of loving you yet.
"Fugo, are you done with the one earlier?" You barged into the library with more papers on your hands. "I'm here to take it."
"Yes, I'm done," Fugo nodded, handing you a black map. "I'm sure they plan to take over the casino first. The transaction over there is more than we could count."
"The casino? Not the drug trade?" You took the black map from his hand before deciding to sit on the couch across him. "Won't the drug trade be more profitable?"
"For a short plan, yes. They know it wouldn't hold long. But if they managed to take over the casino from inside, they could take the money, information, and fraud with fake money. Still, this could be really dangerous."
You nodded along with his explaining. "Sure, I'll tell Bucciarati. We need to take them down soon, right?"
"No need to tell him," Fugo huffed, clearing his throat. "Polpo just called him earlier. I'm sure Polpo already takes notice of this matter and ordering Bucciarati to do something about this."
"You're so smart as always, Fugo!" you beamed, he only gave you a small smile and words of 'thank you'. "Do you think all of us will go?"
"I think so." Fugo did hope so. He wanted to go out on a mission again. Especially with you. It's been so long he's going insane.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Fugo could feel the churn on his stomach when you look at him with pity. "You look terrible."
"I'm fine." Lightning was flashing when he replied. "I look terrible because this room lacked light. It's been so long since we last go out on a mission together. Do you not want me to go?"
"I want you to go.. and don't want you to go," you said, pointing your fingers together. "Working with you was really fun but I don't want you to get hurt."
That's fine, he thought. He'll get hurt either way as he's literally dying. If his last moment is not by your side, he's sure will become a ghost mourning forever.
"I'm fine, I promise." Fugo held out his pinky. He couldn't hold back his smile when you did the same. "I'll protect you. Take me with you."
"Sure!"
"I'm sorry, Fugo, you have to stay."
"Bruno!"
The rest of the team went silent in surprise. No one ever calls Bucciarati with his first name and Fugo just did that. Yelling their leader name with anger mixed in.
"There's no use on leaving me behind!" Fugo continued, clicking his tongue to show his refusal. "You're not helping me. The thing you're doing now is delaying what should happen. Leaving me alone won't solve this!"
