"Good morning, [y/n]," Bucciarati entered your room with a tray on his hands. He put the tray on the small table beside your bed.

"Good morning, Bucciarati," You smiled back at him, "Thank you for bringing me the breakfast."

"Of course, [y/n]," He patted your shoulder, "Please eat well, okay? I'll send Mista in thirty minutes to fetch the dirty plates."

"Yes, thank you,"

Pleased, Bucciarati leaves the room.

Another week has passed since that night you first coughing up the petals and lost consciousness. What you told them was you don't know what was happening either. There is no way you can tell them it started because you foolishly falling in love with one of them.

Since that Bucciarati made you less go out on a mission. Bucciarati also insisted that you can only go with him, though it only lasted for two days. If your disease starts acting up he would make you rest in your room like now. You can only go to the bathroom to clean yourself.

Your room and the bathroom smell like a flower park.

"I haven't seen Fugo..,"

As you dig your meal you think about Fugo. You haven't seen him since that night. Every time you're out on a mission he would on another mission. When you rest at the base he wouldn't be home either. Like he is already gone.

Which can only make your cough worsened.

Even now you still can't breathe properly. You just become better at hiding it from the members. You feel bad for them but it's for their own best. Can't bother them more than this.

But you can't lie that you missed him.

"I, I think I know what happened with [y/n]," Fugo's palm pressed together, fingers tightly intertwined. He bit his lower lips, right feet keep bouncing up.

Fugo just finished taking you to your room and cleaning all the blood from your mouth and hands. He also cleared up all the petals in the common room. Immediately have everyone to gather once again.

Not bothering to even wipe his own face from your blood.

"You knew since the beginning Fugo?" Bucciarati's voice was low yet fierce, intimidating Fugo who shrinking because of it.

"N-No," Fugo shook his face slowly, "I realized it just now. I hope I'm wrong but.., it's hanahaki disease."

"Hana-what?" Mista frowned, "I never heard of it."

"Neither I," Narancia added, "What is that, Fugo?"

"Tell us Fugo, all of it," Abbacchio stated, glaring at the young man.

Fugo took a deep breath before continuing his story, he keeps looking at his feet, "A month ago I met this stranger on the street. He called me suddenly.., and telling me about this disease. It's a rare disease from East.., Japan exactly. It's where a flower will bloom in your lungs until you can't breathe anymore. The person will have difficulties to breathe, coughing up petals and blood in the process. [y/n] could only last for a month..."

"A month you said!?" Mista smashed the table, "What kind of joke is that?"

"This is not making any sense, Fugo," Narancia cried, "There is no way [y/n] gonna die, right?"

"We all saw the petals, Narancia," Abbacchio gritted his teeth, didn't expect the situation would become a mess.

"..can we heal her, Fugo?" Bucciarati's palms were also clenched together, he can't lose temper like the others.

"I can't heal hear Bucciarati," Fugo bent down in frustration, he pulls his own hair, messes it up, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I can't fix her. I'm sorry."

Fugo's lip started to bleed from how hard he bit it.

"Why are you saying it yourself," Mista tapped the table furiously again, "There must be a way for us to heal her!"

"Hanahaki disease," Fugo hiccuped, "The only way for someone to get it is.. when they suffered.. when they suffered from one-sided love... She can only heal once the feeling returned in the same way."

"Quit with the joke, Fugo!"

"Mista!" Bucciarati yelled, "Enough already. Let Fugo explained it. What do you mean Fugo?"

"[y/n] is suffering from unrequited love," Fugo murmured, "Because of me. She loves me.., I never know.., I can't love her back,"

"Everyone knows that she loves you, Fugo," Bucciarati said slowly, "It seemed like you are the only one who doesn't aware of it."

Fugo raised his face in disbelief, "She did..,? Since.., since when..,"

"A year ago she told us," Narancia leaned back sluggishly, "She said to keep it a secret from you. [y/n] was crying that day."

"We don't understand but she never brings it up again to us," Mista flung his hat to the table, "Now I wonder why she cried that day, she never told me or Bucciarati, or us in general. But do you know something, Fugo?"

Fugo can feel Mista's glare piercing through him.

"Ye-year ago..," Fugo stare back at Mista, "I made a promise to [y/n] to not fall in love with each other..,"

Mista stood up in anger, fist clenched ready to throw fists, "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL FUGO. I'M THE ONE WHO BROUGHT [y/n] HERE! SHE'S MY LITTLE SISTER! AND HOW DARE YOU TREAT HER LIKE THAT! WHAT KIND OF PROMISE IS THAT? IF YOU CAN'T LOVE LIKE THE HEARTLESS PERSON YOU ARE, JUST SAY NO TO HER! DO YOU KNOW HOW RIDICULOUS THAT PROMISE IS?"

"OH, YOU'RE ANGRY AT ME NOW?" Fugo stood up too, "I CAN'T LOVE ANOTHER PERSON. ALL OF YOU KNOW THAT! I HAVE TO MAKE SURE SINCE SHE IS SO CLOSE TO ME! I ONLY LIKE HER AS A FRIEND! I HAVE TO!"

"YOU REALLY HAVE TO? FUCKING HEARTLESS!"

"Mista, stop it," Abbacchio rushed to holding back Mista.

On the other side, Bucciarati has to do the same for Fugo.

"Calm yourself Fugo," Bucciarati pushed Fugo back to sit down.

"[y/n] said sorry to you earlier, didn't she?" Narancia quietly spoke, gaining attention to him, "She felt sorry she had to broke the promise.., she knew about the disease. She felt sorry for loving someone..,"

The room became silent. No one dared to speak.

In the end, Bucciarati ordered Fugo to not seeing you again while they searched for another way to help you.

"Hanahaki disease? I know how to heal it."
