Ellie

That arrogant jerk. That arrogant son of a bitch! How dare him do this to me! How dare him play with me and my feelings!

I tried to keep my tears at bay as I make my way out to the patio. My eyes blurred with tears.

Dio. He thinks he can toy with my feelings. He's like a freaking yoyo. He's hot then he's cold.

Argh!!!

"I hate you Marco Castellanos," I said. "This is the last time you will ever get to me," I vowed as I wipe my tears away.

"Ellie, I've been looking everywhere for you," I turn and found my father behind me.

He frowned. "Are you alright, mia figlia?"

"Sì Papà," I nodded.

He look at me for a second trying to see if I really was okay. "Alright then, figlia, let's go back inside. Demetri, has been wanting to meet you," my father said as he held his hand out to me. He tucked me in his arms and led me back into the ballroom.

I found a very handsome man, standing beside my mother.

"Demetri, I would like you to meet my daughter, Ellie," my father said.

Demetri smiled and held out his hand for me to greet. "Ah, it's very nice to meet you signora," he said as he lifted my hand up to his lips.

I smiled politely. His touch nor his kiss did not do anything for me. Not like Marco's... No! Don't think about him. I scolded myself.

I took a breath and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you signore Maretti."

"Please call me Demetri."

I smiled and nodded.

"May I have this dance?"

"Sure."

"I must say, you make all the women here fail in comparison to you, Ellie."

"You're very kind."

He laughed lightly. "I am merely stating the truth, bella."

I grimaced. "Please, call me Ellie," I said. I don't know why, but anyone else calling me other than my name just gives me the creeps. Well all except, Marco... No! Not again. Stop it Ellie.

"Can't take a compliment?" He asked with a smile.

"No, I just don't feel comfortable with people calling me other than my name," I said. From the corner of my eye, I spotted Marco, glaring at us.

Why is he mad?

Why do you care? I asked my self.

"Are you alright Ellie?"

I blinked. "Oh, yes. Sorry, I just have a lot on my mind. If you'll excuse me, Demetri. Thank you for the lovely dance, but I'm afraid I'm quite tired. I think, I'll bid my goodbye. It was lovely to meet you and thank you for inviting us," I said.

I suddenly felt like I needed to leave. I was feeling overwhelmed. Marco and the party. The dance we shared. His words. It's all too much.

"That's too bad. I was really enjoying my time with you. But I understand," he said. "I would like to see you again, Ellie," he said.

"Thank you, but I'm afraid..."

"That's not possible," Marco said.

I gasped in surprised.

"Marco," Demetri gasped in surprise. "I didn't know you two were together," Demetri said.

"Oh we are n..." I started to say but Marco cut me off.
