Ellie"What? What do you mean your getting married? Eleanor Anastasi, you better explain yourself!" My brother growled angrily into the phone.
I grimaced.
"Massimo, I am a grown woman. I am not a child!"
"You're my baby sister. Merda! I didn't even know you were dating. Who is this idiota?" Who is this moron?
"Mass! He is not a moron! He's my fiancé and I love him."
"I haven't even met the guy!"
I hear Arabella chuckling and telling him to calm down."Cara, she's marrying a man I do not know. Haven't even met," he told his wife.
I heard Ara tell him to invite us over.
I smiled. I have a feeling she knows who my fiancé is. I chuckled, remembering our conversation about Marco.
Massimo grunted. "Come over for dinner. Bring your fiancé with you," he grumbled.
I laughed. My brother only ever listens to Ara.
"Have I told you lately that I'm so glad you married Ara? She's got you wrapped around her finger," I teased.
I heard him sigh over the phone. "Don't I know it. I swear if my competitors and employees find out about this, they're going to have a field day. What would they say? Business tycoon pussy whipped by his gorgeous wife," he laughed.
I hear Ara laughing in the background with him.
I chuckled. "You don't fool me. You love every second of it," I said.
"You know I do," he said.
I grinned. "When can we come over for dinner?"
"Tonight would be good. Oh and does Papà and mamma know?"
"Not yet. They are next on my to call list."
"Alright. Papà will be glad. He's been pushing for this."
I sighed and smiled. "I know. But hey at least he didn't choose my soon to be husband for me. I found him on my own."
He laughed. "Yes, mia carissima sorella." Yes, my dearest sister.
"We'll see you tonight," I said ending the call.
"Ok that wasn't so bad," I muttered.
I phoned my father next.
"Mia figlia, come stai?" My daughter, how are you?
"Bene, Papà. I have some news."
"What is it?"
"I'm getting married," I said.
"Oh! What a wonderful news, figlia! You have no idea how happy I am about this," he exclaimed.
I laughed. "Oh I think I do," I said.
He laughed. "Who is the lucky fella?"
"You'll find out soon, Papà. We decided to get married in two weeks. If it's alright with you, I want to be married at the estate, as well," I said.
"Sì. Of course. That would be marvellous. I cannot wait to meet your fiancé," he said.
"I can't wait for you to meet him. How is mamma?" I asked.
"She is fine, figlia... Oh here she is."
"Francesca, my wish has finally
came true! Our daughter is getting married," my father said.I laughed.
"Hello?"
"Hi, mamma. Mi manchi. I miss you."
"I miss you too, sweetheart! I can't believe you're getting married. Are you happy, Ellie?"
"Sì. Very happy, mamma," I said.
"Bene! That's all I want to hear. I cannot wait to see you and Marco," she said.
I gasped. "Mamma..."
She chuckled. "Ellie, you should know by now that my children cannot hide anything from me."
"But... How... Is Papà there? Did he hear you? Mass doesn't know it's Marco," I said worriedly.
My mother chuckled softly. "No, your Papà is busy calling everyone announcing your wedding, which is in two weeks, your Papà said."
"Sì. I want to get married there at the estate, as well."
"Of course. I'm not even going to ask considering the speed that your brother married Ara. At least Marco is giving you two weeks."
I laughed. "He is very generous, isn't he?" I joked.
She laughed. "Sì. Generous indeed."
"I'm having dinner with at Massimo and Ara's place tonight. I mean, with Marco of course. I'm worried mamma, what if Massimo doesn't approve?"
"Don't worry, he will. And you're a grown woman. You are more than capable of choosing your own husband."
"Mamma, how did you know it was Marco?" I asked curiously.
"A mother never reveals her secret," she laughed.
"Mamma..."
"Oh alright," she relented. "I had a feeling about you two when you first met each other at the Tarmac months ago," she said.
I smiled and shook my head. Even my mother knew.
"We were that obvious?"
My mother chuckled.
"I'm so happy for the both of you."
"Grazi, mamma. I'll see you soon, okay?"
"Sì. I will start the preparations right away. I'm guessing you will be arriving soon?"
"Sì. Within this week. I still have to confirm with Marco when exactly. I'll let you know, mamma."
"Okay. Take care sweetheart. See you soon," she said before ending the call.
"Princess?" I hear Marco call out.
I smiled. He's home.
Wait, it's only noon.
What is he doing home?
"Princess? Ellie?"
"In the kitchen," I called out.
"There you are," he said as he walked over to me and kissed me.
"What are you doing home so early? I was about to call you," I said.
"I missed you. I had nothing important to do at the office, so I decided to come home. I'd rather be here with you. There is far more pressing matter I must attend to here," he said wickedly.
I laughed. "and what is that pressing matter you must attend to?" I asked.
"Why you of course! I need to make love to my fiancé," he said as he nuzzled my neck with his nose.
"Wait," I squealed.
"What?"
"We're going to my brother's for dinner tonight," I said.
"That's all?"
"Oh and I told my parents. Mamma wants to know when we're planning to fly there. Since the wedding is in two weeks we need to prepare," I said.
He smiled. "We can leave the day after tomorrow," he said.
"Okay. I'll tell them," I moved to grab my phone but Marco lifted me up into his arms.
"Later," he growled. "I need to be inside you. Now."
"Well then, I'm all yours," I said cheekily.
