"After all what you told me I caused and you still make that proposition?":-I asked Chris almost in a duh-no-man tone.

"Laura ...it isnt like that..Asher doesnt hate you I promise"

"But he will if I turn back..."

"He wont..I promise...I know him..he actually needs you now"

"Why would he?";-I asked with a look have-you-gonne-out-of-nuts?.

"Because of the council.":-Chris stated now in a serious tone.

"What about the council?":-I asked.

Just to let you know the council is a group of usually old mans who had been before part of the mafia and have survived through it showing loyalty and capability to lead.They are people who have left their thrones to their sons and now are too old for that job but every time something big happens in the mafia family they gather and discuss taking decisions over what to do.There is nobody over the council except Ash ofc.Ash can even ignore their decisions and decide on its own but its the best for him to consider the elders words.now what makes me wonder is why did the council gather?like they only gather for BIG things...and since my dad is part of it too...why didnt he tell me anything?I think I have been missing so much...

"This year the council gathered to discuss the matter of the mafia leaders mans who refuse to marry and settle down,to create a family and produce heirs despite their growing age...and there has been ordered that there will be organised a big ball with all the rich mafia familys where there is gonna be an ancand held...an ancand where girls from age 22 to 28 part of these families have to sit on some chairs in front of the audience and all the unmarried guys from age 24-32 will offer moneys for the girls they want.the guy who offers the biggest amount of money for a girl will have the right to take her on a date according to her liking and consent ofc.All the moneys gathered from this event will go for charity so we will be covered and justified even in the eyes of medias.This event is held to make sure all these mans find their other half and create a family soon.Because there are man going for 32 and still without and heir to take their throne when they will grow old.Nor you have to bring a date yourself and decide to settle with her..nor you have to choose a girl there...if you dont marry at least from today one year then you will be thrown out of the mafia family and deprived from all your moneys status and ever going back to that land anymore.And as you can already guess Ash is included too."

"And why am I needed?Ash has already that girl.":-I said in a calm tone.

"First of all Laura "that"girl has a name and it is Victoria":-Chris said witha a smirk:-"and secondly we both know she will never get your place in Ashers heart"

"She already did."-:I responded in a unaffacted tone.

"No she didnt..":-Chris said totally sure in his words.

"But didnt you say she is his bestfriend-":-I started asking but was interrupted by chris again.

"I said she is his bestfriend..I never said she is his other half":-Chris said leaving me awstruck:"-you still havent quite understood the place you have on Ashers heart now have you?:-"he added giving me a genuine smile.

"The place I used to you mean right?":-I said almost out of breath.

"No..the place you used and still continue to posses I meant:-"Chris responded while turning back and leaving just to stop again to say the words which would make my life have another sudden turn:

"I will pick you at 7am.be ready by then.And no I wont take no for an answer"

By this time...I was ready for the storm coming....
