PART 54

"How is it going?"-I asked Mike while entering the tent that was set for us since we came in here 4 months ago.Yes its been 4 months since the day we had that conversation with Jacob and from that time Mike has been non-stop searching for any trace that could lead us to the place where Ash has been sent but finding none they had to search all the territorys at least the war-free ones but still found nothing making us lose hope of him being alive.I in the other hand have been working on the project and the village its almost finished now and i couldnt have been happier for it even tho my mind was all the time at Ash.What could have happened to him?Was he killed by those people?But if he was then why did they make all the way till here and not finish it back there?So many questions roaming around my mind but for now nobody had the answers to them.

"No still nothing Laura"-Mike said sighing making me sigh as well.He was observing the territory map just like he has been for the past days.-"This is really confusing.We have searched in all the territorys and yet there was no trace of him.All what we have found are the documents we found at the local police station where we found that there actually was a deliverment supposed to happen near those days but they didnt know what.After all its not like the police here has much power."

"And where do those documents lead us to?"-I asked eager to learn the new piece of information.

"To the one and only place where we havent searched..."-he said eyeing nerviously that one piece of this teritory that felt like the forbiden apple to us-"The terrorists...the war zone."

"What have you gonne out of nuts?"-Chris shouted from the other line at Mike;-"You cant basically excpect to enter the war zone and leave it at least with all your limbs still on."

"But its the only place we havent searched and for sure we know he is here";-Mike said trying to convince him but Chris was having none of it.

"Nah hell nah give me Laura she is always the one who puts sense in a case.;-Mike said and sighing Mike gave me the phone before sitting in the couch in was previously on.

"Yes Chris?"-I asked eating my nails from nerviousness.

"What do you think about it?"-Chris asked and for my surprise his voice soundedrather low.

"I-I think we should give it a try";-I said half mumbling.

"ughhh so it was YOUR idea?"

"Look Chris this is the only way to find Ash and I know its dangerous but with the state Im in I just dont care anymore.Listen Chris Im here for 4 months which means 4 months away from home 4 months out from my comfort zone more than one year away from everything which gives comfort to me.Im tired Im devastated Im that fed off and that needy to meet him that Im ready to go through hell and back just to find him even if it means I have to go through a land full of guns and dead people.";-I said my voice cracking from the tears that had now blurred my vision.

"You know I am just worried for you guys okay?PLease take care of yourselves!"-Chris said his voice cracking too;-"I dont wanna loose one more important person from my life":-he mumbled before ending the call...

"Sooo?To the war zone huh?":-Mike asked while getting uo from the couch and straightening his suit.

"To the war zone..":-I said-:"its life or death..."
