Daryl's POV

"Then don't let me go." She whispers. The back of her was turned to me, but by her voice you could tell she was broken. Her voice shook with fear, and if I could see her eyes then I'm sure they would be filled with tears.

But that's all I wanted to do; was to not let her go. The woman was as broken as I was. It's just a matter before everything comes crashing down. And each day I see it coming closer and closer.

The weapon slid off my back as it hit the forest floor with a thud. My body was still, but all I wanted was to run to her and hold her in my arms.

Her head slowly turns as she looks up with glossy eyes. "You take care of my girl now, you hear?"

She turns before I can even blink. Her blonde hair flashes as she passes through the trees. And before I can comprehend what's happening, she's gone.

I stay looking at the place she once stood. The leaves were slightly messed up as she drug her foot past them. The dirt beneath was in small piles.

My breaths came out of my lungs so cleanly. Gliding past my lips. But inhaling, that was completely different. It was like my lungs were full of needles and the air just happen to be balloons. The air comes into my lungs and pops, not alloying for me to have one of the basic needs to live.

Reality soon slapped me in the face. She was gone. Going to a man we knew nothing about. He could want anything with her. She could come out alive, or dead.

My hands brushed the cold metal as I grabbed my bow. Hers not to far behind. It was roughly thrown over my shoulder as mine stayed in my hand.

My hands slowly tightened their grip as I dashed past tree after tree. To angry with myself to actually see where I was going.

You let her go.

I soon began to see red as the worrying sunk in. Everything was piling up as I thought of all the possibilities.

She could be dead.

I stopped in my steps as I turned every which way. My eyes were wide as I looked around.

"Mel!" Her name rolled off my tongue as I screamed her name. The only thing I could hear was the echo my voice made and the blood curtailing through my veins.

"Melinda! God damn it I'm not playing!" It was the first time in a long time that I had used her real name. The nickname had stuck after a while so I had just used that. But the fear running through me didn't care what the hell I called her, as long as I got her back.

"Baby, please." My voice falls to a sunken whisper as my stomach drops. I could only think of one thing in this moment. She was gone. In the hands of another man.

I wouldn't be able to do this alone. They have to many men. I would need help. So right about now, I was useless. I couldn't protect the thing that mattered most.

My ass made contact with the ground as I look up at the darkening sky. The stars were about to come out. And dusk was here.

"I need you."

A/N

Omg I had written this and forgot to save it so I lost it all. Pissed me off to no end. But I wrote it again and I'm not happy with it because I left out some details. But this is obviously a filler chapter.
