The picture above is what Melinda and Tyler look like in the beginning of the chapter!
Melinda's POV
Another kick comes from my stomach as I smile down at it. It's been about eight and a half months and the time was coming for me to bring a new life into the wonderful world we live each day.
A small laugh spills from my mouth as she kicks once more, the wind was slightly blowing as the sun tucks itself in for the night.
The long grass was swaying to the music the wind made, each twist was a new note and each direction was a new voice. They took turns as the grass waves at its surroundings.
Arms soon found their way around the hill I call a stomach, and connected hands with each other. The gesture was kind and sweet, one of the many things I love about this man.
"It's beautiful out here." I whisper. I slightly turn my head to see the small smile slide across his face. His hot breath wavers over my temple as he lightly kisses it.
"Not as beautiful as you." His fingers run along my stomach as Charlie kicks once again, recognizing the way his fingers move and giving him the only love she can give.
"Tyler! You're terrible!" I elbow him in the ribs as I turn in his grasp and wrap my arms around his neck.
He holds where I injured him and smiles a toothy grin. His eyes seem to shine in the afternoon sun as he leans closer and presses his forehead against my own.
"Gosh, baby, that hurt." He pouts. His hands go from my waist and to my swollen belly. His fingers spread as his finger tips slide along the fabric of my shirt.
He leans down slightly to capture my lips into a kiss like no other. It was full of love and passion. Every time this man kissed me, it was like the first time all over again. His soft but meaningful lips would tell a story with their pattern. They spoke soft and gentle secrets that words just couldn't describe.
"God, I love you so much." My head leans to the side so it gently rest on his shoulder. He laid his chin on the top of my head and pulled me impossibly closer as he uttered the soft words I would never get tired of.
"I love you more."
My eyes softly opened at the feeling of something poking my side. A white and spotless ceiling was in my view. Soft whispers came from the left of me as someone pokes my shoulder once more.
"Greene?" His voice comes in soft and gentle. The bed shifts as he leans his body on the edge.
"Yeah?" My voice was groggily, like it hadn't been used in years. My throat was scratchy from little use of water.
"You should really get out the house. It's not good for you to be in here all day." Mikes brown eyes held compassion and understanding. My hand reached up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
"What the hell am I supposed to do? I need to stay here and watch Charlie." My eyes met with the lids of hers. Her long lashes touched her dirty skin as she laid still in sleep.
"Charlie will be fine. Your dads here to watch her. We are all going on a run, you need to come." He sits his body in the chair next to the bed and waits on my response.
"How am I going to help? There's Rick, and Shane. And then Daryl and you." My hands pick at my dirty nails as I think of what to do.
"Well, Rick said you and Daryl work good together. You're quiet and get the job done." He reasoned. I roll my eyes and sigh at his statement.
