Stardust was the first to fall through the black portal falling onto her bum heaving and gasping for breath.
She was caught looking up at the exposed night sky laying in the middle of the ruins of a building. Looking around, she wasn't sure where she was. There was only what remained of several buildings that looked like it exploded from the inside out.
The other members were quick to follow. Behind her, Dabi fell out onto his stomach unconscious. Coughing the lasting taste of powdery slime in her throat, Miya gently shook his body laying face first in the dust with arms laying above his head. He was out cold.
"That was so gross!" Toga coughed.
"This black stuff reeks!" Twice said. "I love it!"
A tall man is standing in the rubble of what was a factory building, wearing a black suit, a metal navy blue, skull-like gas mask with angular pipes at the top, a wide collar-like life-support system around his neck with multiple other pipes connecting the front and back.
All for one
"Master." Tomura greeted on his knees.
"So you've failed once more, Tomura." says All For One, walking forward. Miya remained sitting on her bum with her hand subconsciously gripping Dabi's leather coat in a fist. Seeing the man, All Might's arch nemesis, face to face, made her breath fall short, spit run dry in her mouth, and limbs go stale. Her body was shivering even though there was no wind.
(DREAD.)
"But you must not be discouraged. You'll try again, that's why I brought your associates back with you. Even this child, because you judged he was an important piece on your game board." he held a hand out to Tomura. "Start over as many times as it takes. I am here to provide you with help. All of this is for you."
There was silence.
There was a winding sound of a machine and Miya looked to the small circular device clinging to her suit with tiny metal claws. The rim was alit with blue. "Oh no." Her fingers desperately tried to pry the machine loose when the blue rim turned red.
"Star?" Toga is concerned.
Miya's body convulsed into a fit and she fell over Dabi's back with a hard thump. "Star!" she screams. "What's happening!" Toga ran to Miya's side. Her limbs were rigid and shaking, her jaw was locked, and her eyes were rolled back from the electrical currents running from the device. "Make it stop!" Toga pleaded, reaching for the device.
"Don't touch it!" warned Compress.
The device zaps Toga. She jumped back from the shock holding her burning fingers into her chest as tears flooded her yellow cat eyes. "Make it stop, please! They're hurting her! They're the ones doing this!" Toga japed a knife between the suit and device to try and pry it off.
Bakugou swallowed heavily. There was a part of him that didn't feel great watching Stardust convulsing and frothing at the mouth. There was a part of him that knew what he was witnessing is the reason she turned rogue.
(I would too.) He looks away unable to bare it.
The red rim turned blue again and Miya's body stopped convulsing. She laid strewn over Dabi's back limp, head rolled back and neck craned, eyes half open, mouth wide with lines of drool rolling down either side of her face.
"Star!" Toga cried, cupping her face. Anger swelled inside the schoolgirl and she began to stab the device clinging to Miya's suit, one by one she broke the metal claws.
