It wasn't Aki Noya in the fire, it was her this time. She was surrounded with no way out. The blue flames licked up her sides. Caressing her like a baby with gentle hands. It roared and burned so fierce, she couldn't see beyond the circle.

Yet it didn't burn. She has to get out before the building came down on her. What building? She was standing out in the open. The flames were gone. Didn't she just burn down... what did she burn down again?

It was something important.

Oh well.

A hand came to her shoulder and she jumped. Everything felt surreal. It was Dabi, he was looking at something ahead of them. Red. White. Black. It wasn't him, but at the same time it was. This isn't the Dabi she knew, this was someone else with his face.

"Watch your step."

At their feet was the edge of the swimming pool deep underground of the Hero Commission headquarters. The water lapped at the edges and chlorine filled her nose. "Wait." none of this made sense.

Dabi pushed her. She fell in. She flailed around, but the water wouldn't let her out. She struggled, she kicked, she screamed.

Her legs were sore, that much she could say. And apparently committing crime and arson is a turn on for Dabi.

Miya sat at the counter on the only bar stool that was there. Her hands laid in front of her, eyes trained on the empty space between them. Her mind was blank, which was out of the norm. Not a thought entered her brain. They refused to. It was as if the cage was unlocked but the bird didn't want to leave. She couldn't think. Has she finally reached breaking point? Did her brain officially stop working?

(Miya.E.x.e_has stopped working.)

Miya giggled at her own joke.

Arms came around from behind. "What's so funny?" Dabi's gruff voice said, in her ear. He placed his hands on either side of her, pressing his chest into her back. Miya licked her lips. Did she laugh out loud?

"Nothing." she replied.

Miya turned her neck up to meet Dabi's brilliant eyes. Her eyeliner was smeared down her cheeks, and not from tears... a different kind of tears. Dabi's thumb rubbed the smudged black from under her eye.

"You're being really clingy."

He stopped.

"Did I say stop? Damn."

He placed his hand back on the counter, blocking her in. Miya smiled in fear of the look on his face. "Why did you save that woman?" he questioned. "Isn't she one of them who hurt you? Why not let her burn?"

"She never hurt me. It was the opposite actually."

"No other reason?"

"No."

He scoffed. "You still have the instincts of a fucking hero." he rolls his eyes in disgust.

"I can't help that, Dabi, it's not like I was trained like one since I was born."

His hand came to her neck, angling her chin towards him. "I can help beat it out of you." Miya swivelled on the stool, resting her hands on his shoulders, and nestled him between her legs, and said,

"You can try, big boy."

Her face was so close to his, and upon that instance, his tongue was in her mouth, and Miya was forced back. She repelled the writhing sea creature in her mouth, eyes clenched shut, she could taste smoke on his tongue. It lingered around them when he was near. Her mind went blank, and her fists balled the leather coat to bring him closer. Her legs wrapped around his waist, thrusting his crotch into her, and locked ankles.
