Miya followed the coordinates on her phone, running, until she found the street which Spinner says he was parked in, and hurried towards a truck parked on the side of the road. In the far distance behind her she could hear loud bangs like fireworks and the Earth would shake occasionally from the fight between Overhaul and Deku. She was just glad to get out of there.
In the drivers seat, Spinner motioned two fingers as a form of acknowledgement as she approaches the truck. Miya waved back to the lizard, and rounded to the backside. She slammed her fist against the back of the truck twice and looked around. The Ward was evacuated and abandoned. No one was around. (It doesn't hurt to check.)
The back of the truck door opened and Miya stepped back.
Tomura was first to jump down. "Took you long enough." he stated, manically.
Miya looked up at Dabi leaning against the side of the truck and Compress who peaked out from behind the other door. "Got caught up in the fight." she said, licking her lips. "But I made it... eventually."
"Where's the girl?"
Miya pushed her lips into a thin line. "About that..."
"The drugs?"
Miya shook her head. "Hey, that's what plan b is for, right? If the Heroes win and arrest Overhaul, he'll be seriously injured from the fight. He already is. And they'll send him straight to the closest Villain hospital. All we have to do is intercept the escort and take what we want."
"I know what to do!" Tomura replied. "I'm the leader here, not you."
"I know that."
"Now we just have to wait for Twice and Toga to update us on the situation." Tomura looked Miya up and down. "You're covered in blood."
"It's not mine."
"You killed someone?"
"Two. One punk ass thug, and... a Hero." she quickly said the last part, averting her eyes, knowing the reaction she was going to get. It might as well be a celebration! New Years, perhaps. Fireworks went off in Tomura's little red eyes.
Tomura burst out laughing. Compress applauded, "Oh, well done, Star! Must have been hard, I can imagine. To you, I bow." and he bowed his top half with a dramatic swing of his new robotic arm.
"Thanks," she shrugged. "It wasn't really hard."
Dabi, without uttering a word, jumped down from the back of the truck, towering over Miya, gazing into her eyes. His large hands cup her cheeks and he kissed her passionately. Miya's eyes fluttered and she smiled. "What's that for?"
"We are so fucking later." he mumbled against her lip, and kissed her again.
"Jeez!" Tomura says, disgusted, and turned away. "Yuck! Get a room."
"That's what the backstage is for." Compress commented, amused.
Miya laughed, fiddling with Dabi's leather coat. She found his eyes again, and she noticed a different look. He looked at her as if he was waiting to say something, like he knew something, but was anxiously bidding his time. Overhaul immediately came to her mind. (Was it guilt, like Toga said?) Whatever this feeling was... FINE. I admit, I feel bad.
"You covered in blood is kinda hot." Dabi says, softly.
"Don't get ahead of yourself, big boy."
Tomura climbed tot he top of the truck and sat himself on the roof, his black coat shrouded around him, and the dismembered hands made him look like some type of gargoyle. "So, how did you kill the Hero?"
