The next morning, we decide for Logan to drive me to work, since he needs to go home to walk Dodger and change for his work later
When he drops me off, I see that the café is already open
"Good morning"I say when I see Mr. Maddox behind the counter
"Good morning" he says raising his eyes just a little to see me
"I thought I was supposed to open the place when I have the morning shift..."
"That's right, but I brought the donuts and the muffins, so I opened it"
"Ok...did u prep the machine?" I ask putting my apron on
"Just did" he says showing me the group (the thing from which the coffee falls) he just cleaned
"Ok..."
"Do u want a cup of coffee?"
"I'll make it on my own, don't worry"
"Oh come on, I know u're curious if I actually know how to make coffee and not just boss people around..."he says with a slight smirk and I chuckle
"Alright, I'll have a latte!"
"One latte, coming up!"he says turning to make it
"U're in a good mood today!"
"Yeah, it's good to be back...I missed my home a lot!"
"I miss home too..."
"Where are u from, again?"
"Texas!"
"Right... I love Texas!"
"U do?" I ask leaning on the counter
"Yeah! I like the accent and the cowboy look...and everyone I've met from there was so nice!"
"Yeah, the rumors that we're rude are so not true! We're a little too crunky because of the heat, but we're kind if u're polite!"
"I got that, yeah... How come u don't have an accent?"
"I had. But I got teased a lot when I came here last May and I watched some videos and fixed it"
"Well, u're free to talk with your accent here if u want " he says giving me my coffee
"Thank u, I'm sure it will show at some point" I say and then take a sip
"Oh my God, it's amazing! Probably the best I've ever drunk!"
"U don't have to say it, I'm not going to fire u if u don't like it"
"One thing u should know about me is that I don't lie or kid about coffee! I'm very particular when it comes to coffee. I applied only to the coffee places that I know and like the blend they use. And your chain of coffee places has the best blend! I preferred driving for like half an hour to go to your place when I was in Texas, than to drink from somewhere else sometimes"
"I'm so glad I get that feedback from an employ. In other branches I have people that don't even drink coffee..."
"Well, if u don't drink it how can u sell it?"
"Coffee sells itself, but I agree with your point" he says and before I get the chance to answer, a customer gets in so I get behind the counter, while he goes to the back...

At around 7.30, after Thomas and his minions have left, Logan walks in, looking at me smiling
" Good morning again!" he says walking towards the counter with his hands on his belt
