Sandra's P.O.V

At around 7 in the afternoon, I'm outside the precinct and after taking a deep breath I get in. The first person I see when I step my foot on the floor Logan and his squad is, is Thomas.

"Hello, gorgeous" he says coming close, ready to kiss me, but I stop him

"I need to talk to you"

"Sure, should I come by the bar when I'm off work?"

"No, it needs to be now"

"Honey, I'm working now..." God, he thinks we're an item now?

"Well, I was working too when u were hitting on me" I say with a raised eyebrow and my arms crossed in front of my chest. I hear laughter from around me and after he looks at the ones laughing, he takes me to a corner

"What's up?"

"About last night; I don't know how it was for you, but for me, it was as good as nothing..."

"Oh come on, this can't be true. I know I was good" he says kinda offended, but still with a grin on his lips

"You were, I can tell you know your stuff, but maybe it was our chemistry- there wasn't any- and I was too into my head...I'm sorry"

"That's unfortunate, I thought you liked it too..."

"Well, I didn't and I wanted you to know so you don't have the wrong idea about what happened and especially about the future; just to be clear, there's none. It was a one-time thing and since it wasn't good for me, it won't happen again"

"I see...ok then, I respect it"

"You do?" I ask, kinda shocked

"Yes. You coming to tell me this, shows integrity and I respect you for doing it. It's a hammer, sure, but I can't do anything about it"

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah, why?" He asks casually

"Well, I didn't expect such a mature response from you..."

"Well, I can't do anything else than to thank you for your honesty"

"Ok, what's going on? Did what Fred told you the other day get to you that much?"

"Is Fred the tall scary guy?"

"No, Fred is the one who practically told you to fuck off that morning that he asked you to leave. The tall scary guy is my boss, Ian Maddox. Why? Did he tell you anything?"

"Kinda..."

"Like what?"

"Forget it, Sandra, it's ok, we're ok"

"Thomas, what did he tell you?" I ask, behind greeted teeth

"Well, he told me to never come in the café again and that if I ever disrespect you again in any way, he won't be that civil. That's the general idea. Truth be told, though, when I found out you and Logan hooked up, I decided to back off because I thought you were gonna become a thing"

"So, the only way for you to back off is for a scary-ass man to threaten you and for me to be in a relationship? Like, me asking you repeatedly to leave me alone wasn't enough? You only respect other men?" I ask him pissed, yelling

"It's not like that..."

"Oh, but it is! For days you had been on my ass, harassing me every single morning, without getting my no for an answer, but the minute you learn I might be with someone and my boss scares you, you just back off? You're disgusting and you shouldn't be a police officer! What would you do if a girl came to report a sexual assault? Ask her why she was walking alone and without a man? Ask her what she was wearing?"

"I-"

"No! Shut up! You should be ashamed! I didn't want to get it this far, but I'm filing a report" I say, pointing my finger at him, and then I walk away

"Well, you ended up calling me to hook up, so I guess it won't matter much..." I hear him saying and I stop in my tracks, turning my head slowly to look at him

"What did you just say?"

"You say I harassed you, but who called whom last night?" he answers and without a second thought I drop my purse and march back to him, punching him right in the jaw, making him turn his head on the side and hold his jaw yelling "You stupid bitch!" as other cops hold me 

"You messed with the wrong bitch, dude. I have 10 years of kickboxing on my back, try and say this kind of shit again, see what happens!"

"Do you realize you're threatening an officer of the law?"

"Oh! So, a man threatens you and you back off, but I threaten you and I'm out of line? Are you being a misogynist pig on purpose or are you that stupid?"

"If you continue, I'll throw you in a cell for insult!"

"You will do shit, Thomas, you know she's right" I hear Logan saying from behind me and then I see him getting in front of me

"Here's the Prince Charming to save his princess.. "

"I'm no one's princess, you dick!"

"That's it! Take her away!"

"Ok, I've heard enough! Officers, leave the girl alone, Wheatley go to the infirmary, you're bleeding all over my floor, Anderson bring her to my office" I hear a man saying and I realize it's their captain, because they immediately release me, and Thomas leaves cursing

"Are you ok? You need some water?" Logan asks, putting his hands on my face

"No, I'm ok" 

"I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, I was downstairs"

"I handled it perfectly, he'll think twice before disrespecting me again now. Besides, I don't need you or anyone to fight my battles"

"Of course not, I didn-"

"Just take me to your captain..." I say, interrupting him and without saying anything, he escorts me to the captain and then leaves. The captain then asks me to tell him what has happened between Thomas and I, so I tell him everything and he just tells me not to punch him again

On my way out, Logan comes close again.

"Everything ok?"

"Yes, your captain is very nice, he took my statement and I think Thomas will have it bad..."

"Someone had to put him in his place"

"Yeah, and I'm glad that someone is an 18-year-old girl..."

"What you did needed balls, Sandra..."

"Well, I don't have balls, I have a vagina, and it's 10 times more powerful than 2 balls that shrink occasionally"

"I'll say" he says smirking and I roll my eyes, slapping his chest playfully

"Are you going to work?" He asks

"Yep, but first I need to talk to you too..."

"I swear I never disrespected you" he says throwing his hands in the air jokingly and I chuckle

"You wouldn't dare!" I say at the same tone and then we go out to talk
