Without losing any time, I wrap my arms around his ribs and open my mouth, giving him full access. We kiss hugrily, like we're each other's air, until we both run out of breath and pull away, but not too much
"I thought-" I try to say, but he cuts me
"No more thinking, ok? We both have spent a lot of time thinking about this" he says, looking me in the eyes
"We sure have" I say and we chuckle
"We'll go through this together, ok? We will heal each other"
"Yes. We will. No holding back, no trying to act like we're fine. We're gonna let it all out and we will fix each other"
"Exactly. And when it gets rough, we will love each other harder"
"I like that. I hope we can make it work..."
"We will" he says with determination and I just shake my head yes, smiling, and he leans in for another quick kiss
"Good. Now that we solved that, want to be my date tonight at my sister's birthday dinner?"
"Sure. If she doesn't mind, of course"
"Mind? Hell, she'll kick my ass if I don't bring you" he says smiling and I laugh
"Ok then, what time do I need to be ready?"
"Well, we're gonna need to be there at around 8"
"Ok, so I have time to go home and change, and hopefully get her something"
"Oh, you won't have time, trust me"
"Why is that?"
"Because we're gonna have mad sex until the last minute" he says in a deep voice, leaning next to my ear, making me shiver a little and bite my bottom lip
"Then we better hurry" I say and start running to my car, with him following me

"I just do. Come on, let's go inside because she'll start calling" He says and we go in
"There he is. Always making an entrance" Carly says smiling when she sees us, getting up to greet us
"I'm sorry, Sandra changed 7 times" He says and I slap his arm
"You're already throwing me under the bus, huh?" I ask, playing offended
"Sorry, but it's the truth" he says playfully and I roll my eyes
"It's ok, I understand. Nice to officially meet you, Sandra" Carly says and hugs me
"Oh, a hugger! Nice to meet you too. Happy birthday!" I say, hugging her back
"Thank you" she says, pulling away
"I'm sorry I didn't get you anything, your brother didn't leave me any time" I say, looking at him, and we both can't help but smirk at the thought
"Atta boy!" she says, patting his chest
"Yeah yeah, ok, let's introduce her to the others, ok?" he says, looking kinda embarrassed and we all laugh

"So, u guys leave tomorrow, huh?" I ask after we're done eating and have gotten coffees
"Yep. Wish we weren't" Scott, Logan's brother, says
"I wish you could stay 2 more days. I could take a few days off and show you around the places where no guide will take you"
"That's so unfortunate, indeed. But we can always come some other time"
"Well, I'll only be here for a few more months, so if you could find a week or something, I'll make it happen"
"It's a deal"
"Wait, guys, I'm a police officer, we don't get many leaves" Logan protests
"Who invited you?" Shanna, his other sister, says jokingly and we all laugh
"So, my girlfriend will be here with all of you and I will be working?" he asks, playing offended
"Oh, come on, in 4 months you'll have me all to yourself" I say, stroking his chest
"Here you go! Let us spend some time with her too before you hide her from us forever" Carly says and we laugh again
"We'll see. But for now, I think we should go..." he says
"Already?" I ask frowning
"Yes. I'm leaving first thing in the morning and I might not see you for another 4 months"
"I hope your walls aren't thin, Sandra" Carly says, winking
"If you push me just enough, I'll bring her to my room and we'll see how much fun you're gonna have" he says
"You won't gonna like it...the lady who lived across him when he was in L.A. told me she could hear me. And she was old"
"Damn, girl!" Scott says and we laugh again
"Ok ok, I'll shut up. And, all jokes aside, go spend time together, you lost enough time and you'll lose more" Carly says
"Thank you all so much for having me, I really enjoyed it. And, Carly, I owe you a gift, I won't forget it" I say as we get up and Logan helps me put my coat on
"You made my brother smile again, that's all I wanted" she says and we all go awww looking at Logan
"It's times like this that I'm glad I didn't accidentally kill her while paying when we were kids" he says, hugging her
"Hey!" she exclaims, slapping his back
After I say goodbye to everyone, we leave.
"So, what do you think?" He asks me on the way home
"About your family?"
"Yes"
"Absolutely loved them!"
"You did?"
"Yes! I love how you tease each other"
"You mean how they tease me..." he says and I chuckle
"Yes. But in general, also. They made me feel like I knew them forever. I'm so happy they accepted me as their own so easily"
"It helps that they saw me happy" He replies and I smile
"Still, though. They just met me and I already feel like part of the family"
"Wait till you meet my parents and especially my mom. She's a hardcore feminist too, you'll get along great"
"You think?" I ask, thinking about it
"Absolutely. The first time I told her about you and how open you are about sex and all that, she got so excited"
"She did?" I ask surprised
