Chapter 15: Discovery of Something New

After a while of fighting, the faction beat down the guarding vampires. "That wasn't easy at all," Brian says, cleaning the blood from his mouth.

"And my neck hurts…" he adds.

Eleanor coughs as she opens her eyes. "Right on time…"

Brian pulls Eleanor as they walk into the cave. "No…" She cried.

Now inside, Kate smiles as she takes in the view. "We'll get you out soon," she says.

She grabs Eleanor by her hair and pulls her to the statue of Surr laying still on a rock. "You will perform the spell now" Kate orders.

Eleanor looks at the thousand years old stone and giggles. "I'm not performing any spell… because magic won't work on this"

Kate kneel beside her. "What do you mean?"

Eleanor stands from the ground and walks closer to the statue. "He has been frozen for over a thousand years… a mere magic spell won't just bring him back"

Dave walks closer to them. "Ehm… I'm done here right?, Can I leave?" He asks pointing at the exit.

Seeing that they ignored him, he scoffs and walks towards the exit. The instant he walks out the exit, he flew back in crashing into Harold…

"Dave, no…" Eleanor cried.

All the vampires raise their heads to see… "The Sectis…" Brian says, as their completely black eyes shone brightly.

The Sectis charge at the faction. Brian notices the vampire he fought with at the tower approaching him. He smiled and run towards her too. "Looks like we are going for round two"

In the tower just outside Greenleaf.

Mr. Carter walks into the tower. "Hello… anyone here?" He asks.

A one-eyed lady emerged from the dark. "State your business"

Mr. Carter puts his hands up. "I mean no harm… I'm a witch who wants to know more about vampires and my ability" he lied.

She stared at him with her one eye, which looks like it'll fall off her socket. "Well since you could walk in, it means you're not a vampire"

The lady turns to walk away. "Do as you wish… you could search the upstairs rooms if you can't find what you want here" the lady says.

Back in the cave.

Eleanor has taken down most of the vampires, only a few are still standing, fighting each other.

Dave stands from the ground. "What's happening?" He asks.

One of the Sectis vampires attacked him. She dug her fangs deep into his neck.

Suddenly, she pulls back screaming in pain as blood drips down her eyes and mouth. "What is happening to me?" She cried.

Dave falls to the ground, motionless. "Dave. No" Eleanor kneels next to me. "Please stay with me" she cried.

Seeing that they are about to lose, the Sectis retreat out of the cave. It was a bloody fight, and most of the faction's vampires are also dead.

Tee and Harold ran up to where Dave lays. "Move, let me help him," Harold says, pushing Eleanor out of the way.

Tee grabs his hand before he bites it. "I will not let you feed him your blood," He says.

"What? Are you going to feed him yours…?" Brian asks.

Tee shakes his head. "No one is feeding him blood… if it's time for him to die… then let him die"

The moment he finishes, Brian twists his neck from behind. "Go on and do what you must," he says.
