Chapter 28: Transition?

Dave's POV

I rest my back on a wall, my hand over my head as I regret my life choices.

"Is anyone gonna tell me why we're sad? She's dead, no big deal" Athena says.

Brian shakes his head. "Oh if she was dead it would have been a lot more better, but she has Dave's blood in her system, and she died, which means she'll return a sectis vampire, which is bad... Cause we've had a lot of troubles with her even as a witch" he revealed

"Ahh... Makes a lot of sense now. But that's a good thing right, I mean she can protect herself now"

Brian's facepalm. "Didn't you hear a word I just said?"

Suddenly Eleanor jumps up, gasping. She taps her chest and sighs in relief after realizing the wound is gone.

She looks at everyone's face and raises an eyebrow. "Why are you all looking like this? What's going on?"

I sigh and sat next to her. "I'm sorry Eleanor. You died and you had my blood in your system, you are now a vampire Eleanor"

Eleanor looked at me for a moment before bursting into laughter. She threw her head back laughing even louder. "Sorry… It's just…"

"This is no joke Eleanor, Poppy killed you, you died, and you're a vampire" I uttered again.

She finally stopped and exhaled deeply. "Relax Dave it's fine,"

"See, she wants to be a vampire too... there's no big deal," Athena says.

Eleanor sits up. "After I escaped Poppy, I knew she'd return to get me, though I wasn't expecting her to kill me. I cast a spell that'll protect me from dying for a short period."

"Whoa... that is impressive. Classic" Eric said, grinning at her. "Wait, you're a witch, and you're on our side... you can make me a daylight ring then. Right?"

"You don't have a daylight ring?…"

Brian's POV

I head to the room where Kate was. "Hello... oh. Look at you, looking like Dave, you need blood right now" I say, holding a bag of blood in my hand.

She pulled herself forward to get the blood. "Hey, hey, don't injure yourself, love, I'll get it to you..." I say, tearing the top open.

I then place the opened bag close to her nose and pull it away anytime she goes for it. "You look miserable right now..."

"If I get out of here, I will stab you with a stake and throw you down a cliff" she threatened.

I burst into laughter. "I'm sorry, was that supposed to scare me? Are you seriously making threats now?"

She stared at the bag of blood I'm holding and her eyes instantly become black. She licks over her fangs and then bites her lips, taking her blood.

I chuckle and turn the bag to the floor, slowly pouring it.

Kate stared as each drop touches the ground. I toss the empty bag at her before walking out of the room.

The Surr faction's Hideout.

"I couldn't get her to talk... I had to kill her, I'm sorry" Poppy says to Mr. Carter.

He placed his hand on her shoulder and sighed. "It's fine, besides I have found out how to free Surr"

"How dad?" Harold asked.

He takes his hand off Poppy's shoulder and walks a few steps away from us. "We will soon free Surr"
