Detective Shella slowly pushed the door as she walks in with three other cops. "Are you sure this is the place?" Shella ask.
"Yes ma'am, we traced the call here… it seems like it's still on"
They received a call from a resident of the home they are in now, reporting that a crazy person is trying to kill them.
They slowly walk into the house. "My God…" She exclaimed as she sees dead bodies laying on the ground.
She turns the body. "They're all dead…" She says.
She turned the person's head to the side to see the fang mark.
"You two check upstairs, and we'll search down here," detective Shella says, walking forward.
She walks into a room still searching. "Do you know what it looks like?" The other cop asks.
"I don't even know what I'm searching for…"
Suddenly, the two cops fall down the stairs lifeless. She turns and points her gun in the direction.
A man with red eyes walks down the stairs. "I-I I've seen you before, you were the guy with Eleanor"
He roars and charges at the detective.
Brian's POV
I knock on Eric's apartment door. He opens the door and frowns. "What do you want?" He asks.
"I just needed a place to crash, and yours is the closest," I say, pushing past Eric.
Inside the house, I saw Harold sitting on a couch staring at me. "What are you doing here Harold?"
"I could ask you the same thing," he says.
I walk to the refrigerator and pull out a bottle of wine. "You can't have that," Eric says.
"Relax, I can't get drunk. And why do you have this anyways" I say, pulling the cork open?
Harold cross his legs as he glared at me. "What?…" I ask, taking a long gulp of the drink.
"Well, you went after Dave and you returned with a huge hole in your shirt… I gotta ask, what happened?"
"Oh, This is from a fight with him… I don't know how, but he was faster than me. And he drove a huge stick through my chest… should have brought it for proof" I say, taking another sip.
Harold sits up. "So he is still out there?"
I nod and smile. "The bloodsucker is out there, doing what he must"
"Anyways, do you have any compelling story about why he has the eye color of an original vampire?" I ask.
Harold stands from his seat and walks towards the door. "Where are you going?" I ask.
He turns to me. "To look for the kid," he says.
I swiftly run in front of him. "Maybe you shouldn't"
"Why not?…"
"I mean, he doesn't want to be found so let him be," I say.
Harold tilts his head sideways. "He compelled you to stop anyone who wants to look for him right"
"Nope, he doesn't know about compulsion… but I stared into his eyes when he said I should not look for him," I say, holding his collar. "And now I'm mad at him and I don't want anyone looking for him"
Harold holds my hand. "You'll forgive me for this"
He twists it until it's broken. I fall to the ground. "Why would you do that?"
