This grueling debut finally came to an end, and all I longed for was to crawl into bed and digest the day's happenings. I dully slung my backpack's straps over my shoulders before leaving the classroom and walking towards the exit.

Before reaching the massive entrance gates, I was intercepted by a sparkling female voice, "Hamahiru-Chan! Hey, wait up!" I stopped and turned around to see the round-faced bundle of energy "Uraraka. What's up?"

She crossed her slender arms behind her back and leaned forward. "Some day, huh? I'm so happy we managed to get the guidance tour, at least! The school is rather impressive, don't you think?" I wasn't in the mood for chit-chat, but I guess making friends sort of requires this particular effort. "Uh... I guess so".

"Are you heading to the station? Whereabouts are you living?" curiosity tinted her voice.
Yeah, nice try... there's no way I'm revealing anything personal after a day. "A few stops away... what about you?".

She blushed slightly and revealed, " Well... I am actually from the Mie Prefecture... so my parents rented me a small flat two stations away...." Her attention was suddenly drawn past my shoulder, and she excitedly shrieked, "Oh, it's them, come, I'll introduce you to these guys I've met today!" She grabbed my forearm and dragged me along.

Both boys turned around upon hearing her bubbly tone, and my eyes widened when I recognized one of them being Greenie. He didn't notice me right away because he was too busy blushing over his interaction with Uraraka. The blue-haired glasses eventually detected my presence. "Oh, you have a friend with you?" Friend? Not there yet, I'm afraid.

Uraraka took a step back and introduced me. "Guys! This is..." But she was quickly interrupted by Midoriya. "Anon-girl! It is you!" he surprisingly uttered.

Anon-Girl? What am I, some weird-ass Vigilante?
"Uh...hi." I placidly retorted. Uraraka and Iida were flabbergasted seeing us familiar with each other. Uraraka gingerly stuttered, "You two... know each other?"

I denied sharply. "No, we don't." Midoriya uncomfortably rubbed the back of his head, "Well, we actually met briefly about a year ago... I've never got to thank you, by the way, for..." my annoying grunt cut him short "There's nothing to say, really. We just bumped shoulders, and that's it. He obviously has a great photographic memory, that's all."

Midoriya was a bit caught off guard by my dry response but did play along, "Uh.. yeah, that's about it...."

Uraraka and Iida exchanged uncredulous looks but did not dig any deeper. " Care to walk to the station together, guys?" the wide-eyed girl inquired. We all agreed to do so, but just before walking further, the freckled boy tapped my shoulder "Eh...Hamahiru, is it? Can I have a word?"

Why does this sound like a Déjà-vu? "Ugh.. yeah, what is it?" I expressed in a dull manner.

"I did notice you during the physical tests, by the way... I just felt a bit embarrassed to come up to you...." his face reddened like a beetroot. His expression made me hold back a smirk " You're not quite comfortable around girls, are you?"

That comment made his eyes fidgety, and an insecure gasp escaped his lips. "Ahah... you noticed...? That's embarrassing... Anyway... I wanted to ask you something about your quirk?" The look on his face became severe, which triggered my curiosity.

"What of it?" I dryly inquired. He gazed to the ground, trying to focus his speech "Well, that day... a year ago..." Oh crap. Here we go. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"That day, those words you said to me, I think they helped me in more ways than one. But I kept wondering how you could have hit the spot so precisely without even knowing me. After racking my brain about you for several days, I came up with the only plausible explanation - you read my mind, didn't you?" His emerald eyes bore into mine with uncanny resolve.
