I hovered my pen over the half-written page and froze for a split second as the second couple of knocks resonated across the room.

Bloody hell, is this ever ending?

I tried very hard to stay silent. Still, the glowing orange light in my room was an evident disclosure.

A murmured call finally disclosed, "Hamahiru, I know you're still awake... I can see the light reflecting under the door..."

Recognizing the voice made me cringe, and my fingers drummed annoyingly on my desk. "Fine... come in..."

The scarlet-topped male slowly crossed the door. "Hey, Trouble... why aren't you sleeping yet?" Despite his bold word choice, he sounded more reserved than usual.

"Well, why waste precious time sleeping when obviously, waking life is so much more exciting, don't you think so, you ginger Judas?" I stuck my nose in the air and looked back to my journal. Out of them all, Kirishima was the one I was the most pissed with. Not only had he betrayed what little trust I had begun to place in him, but he had dragged the others into his rumpled plan.

With slumping shoulders, he shoved his hands in his pockets and slowly advanced in my direction. "Okay, so I screwed up. And you can't imagine how sorry I am about the whole thing." A dejected exhalation escaped from deep within his throat. "I just wish I knew what I could do to make it up to you...."

I discreetly glanced at him from the corner of my eyes, and he seemed legit miserable. His usual confidence was almost undermined, revealing an insecure and shy identity. So naturally, my Bizarro detector instantly activated, tickling my curiosity, and I couldn't help but be intrigued by his change of demeanor.

I pivoted towards him, resting my cheek on the base of my palm. "Look," My back straightened, "What you did was beyond unacceptable, not to mention very creepy, like stalker-creepy."

As he heard those words, all color drained from his face. Being labeled as a stalker was the worst thing he wanted me to think of him. I genuinely thought he was about to faint, and I really didn't need an unconscious male body sprawled over my bedroom floor all night long.

To avoid any complications, I shot up from my seat and my hands locked around his wrists while my eyes were trying to catch his blank stare. "Red, pull yourself together!"His chest felt burdened and heavy, but my words pulled him back to reality, and he looked down, finally meeting my bicolored orbs. This fleeting moment caused his heartbeat to double in speed.

I released the hold of him and closed my eyes. "Well, now that your back with the living... here's some advice," he flinched and looked at me wide-eyed. "Next time, leave the scheming to the experts!" I caustically barked while dusting myself off.

He lowered his head and stared at his shoes, "Duly noted, Master..." fiddling with his fingers inside his pockets.

"I'm sorry, what, Master? Is that your newest kink, Red?" I tried to loosen the surrounding atmosphere. It worked its magic as a soft smile blossomed on his lips' corners. "Well, you did win that battle training after all, didn't you?" he arched his short eyebrows while I pursed my lips and turned away, ignoring him on purpose.
