I was walking out of the class alone to my dorm, then I heard two pairs of footsteps behind me. I turned around to see my two favorite persons. Fred and George.
"Hey, Y/N." They said in unison.
"Guysss!" I squealed and hugged them tightly. "I missed you guys."
"And we you." They both said.
"So, what are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"Of course, taking you with us to prank Filch." George said, grinning from ear to ear.
"I'm in." I smirked mischievously.
We hid behind a pillar as we saw Filch walking to his chair with his cat. Fred put some random, harmless little bombs on Filch's chair and hid them with a spell. Just when he sat on his chair, within seconds they started to pop, making Filch yell out in surprise. We three laughed our asses off as we ran to escape so we wouldn't get caught.
"That was hilarious." I wheezed, trying to calm myself down.
"That was brilliant, though." George said.
"I have classes. What about you guys?" I asked.
"We have Care of Magical Creatures, you?" Fred asked.
"Me too, but wait. Is it with us?"
"Yes." They replied in unison.
"Perfect, let's go then." I said as we went off.
Care of Magical Creatures
We went to Care of Magical Creatures class with Hagrid as our new professor.
"That's it. Come on, now. Come closer. Less talking, if you don't mind. I got a real treat for you today. A great lesson. So follow me. Right, you lot. Less chattering. Form a group over there. And open your books to page 49." Hagrid said.
"Exactly how do we do that?" Draco asked, looking at the book with a disgusted face.
"Just stroke the spine, idiot." I said as I kept on walking.
"Don't be such a nuisance, Knight." He retorted.
"Don't be such a dumbass, Malfoy." I sassed.
Fred and George snickered as we joined the others.
"I think they're funny." Hermione said.
"Oh, yeah. Terribly funny. Really witty. God, this place has gone to the dogs. Wait until Father hears Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes." Draco said as Harry took his bag off and walked toward him.
"Shut up, Malfoy."
Malfoy and his goons let out 'woho whoooo' sounds as he sauntered to him, then looked behind Harry, making a terrified face.
"D-Dementor! Dementor!" He shrieked, making Harry look back quickly along with the others. I rolled my eyes, glancing at the twins as they did too.
"Just ignore him." I said as Hermione and me pulled Harry to walk with us.
We all stood as a group. I stood between the twins, with Ron, Harry, and Hermione in front of us. Hagrid presented a Hippogriff.
"Tad-ta-da-daaaa, isn't he beautiful?" Hagrid sang.
"What is it?" Harry asked.
"Say hello to Buckbeak."
"Hagrid, exactly what is that?" Ron asked.
"That, Ron, is a Hippogriff. First thing you wanna know about Hippogriffs is that they're very proud creatures. Very easily offended. You do not want to insult a Hippogriff. It may just be the last thing you ever do." He explained. "Now, who'd like to come and say hello?"
Everyone stepped back instead of Harry, which made it look like he stepped forward.
George pulled me back with his hand wrapped around my waist. I tensed as he kept his hand there. I felt him looking down at me, then realizing where he had his hand. Slowly but reluctantly, he took his hand off my waist, trying not to make it awkward. Fred smirked at me, and I pinched his arm, making him chuckle.
"Well done, Harry. Well done." Hagrid said as poor Harry looked behind him, seeing everyone a foot long distance away from him.
"Come on now. Now you have to let him make the first move. It's only polite. So... step up. Give him a nice bow. Then you wait and see if he bows back. If he does, you can go and touch him. If not... well, we'll get to that later. Just make your bow." Hagrid instructed.
Harry bowed slowly.
"Nice and low." Buckbeak started to flap his wings.
"Back off, Harry. Back off."
Harry quickly tried to back off but stepped on a stick, making a sound. I gasped and grabbed George's hand. This time I felt him tense up. I looked at him as he did, then let go of his hand.
"Keep still. Keep still."
Harry did as he was told, then Buckbeak bowed to him.
"Well done, Harry. Well done. Here, you big brute, you. Right. I think you can go and pat him now. Go on. Don't be shy. Nice and slow, now. Nice and slow. Slow."
Harry reached his hand out and carefully patted Buckbeak's head.
"That's it. Yes! Well done! Well done, Harry, well done!"
We clapped and cheered as Hagrid suddenly picked up Harry and placed him on the Hippogriff's back.
"Don't pull out any of his feathers, because he won't thank you for that." Hagrid warned as they took off. We all saw them disappearing into the air.
"That's bloody brilliant, innit?" I muttered and looked up at George.
"Yeah." He said and lifted his hand where a lock of my hair was loose. He tucked it behind my ear. I blushed furiously, immediately looking away so he couldn't see the blush creeping up on my face.
After some time, Harry was back and got off the Hippogriff's back.
"Well done, Harry. And well done, Buckbeak." Hagrid cheered.
"That was wicked, Harry!" Ron chirped.
"Oh, please." Malfoy scoffed and started to walk toward Buckbeak. "Yes, you're not dangerous at all, are you, you great ugly brute!"
"Malfoy, no." Hagrid tried to warn. Before that, Buckbeak flapped his wing, then raised his front two legs, hitting Draco's arm which he used to shield himself.
"It's killed me! It's killed me!" Draco cried.
"Calm down! It's just a scratch!" Hagrid said, picking him up.
"Hagrid! He has to be taken to the hospital." Hermione stepped in.
"I'm the teacher. I'll do it." He then dismissed the class and walked off with Draco in his arms in a bridal style.
"Oh, you're gonna regret this. You and your bloody chicken!"
Later that day, we were sitting together at the table. Houses did not need to be separated at that time. So I sat with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Fred and George went to their classes.
"That guy's bragging too much." I mumbled under my breath.
"At least Hagrid didn't get fired." Harry said.
"Yeah, but I heard Draco's father is furious. We haven't heard the end of this." Hermione said.
"We'll see what happens next." I sighed.
