"Give it to him, Ron." I ordered.

Sirius tried to snatch it from Ron's grasp as he fought back.

"What are you trying to do to him? Scabbers! Leave him alone! Get off him. What are you doing?"

Scabbers tried to escape but Remus and Sirius was quick to shoot spells at it. The rat then transformed into a fat man.

"Remus? Sirius. My old friends!" Pettigrew tried to escape but Sirius and Remus caught him then pushed him causing him to turn to Harry and I where we were standing. "Harry! Look at you! You look so much like your father! Like James! We were the best of friends. Y/N Knight! I knew your Father."

"How dare you speak to Harry! How dare you even speak Y/N's name! How dare you talk about James in front of him!" Sirius yelled at him.

"You sold James and Lily to Voldemort, didn't you?" Remus asked.

"I didn't mean to! The Dark Lord. You have no idea the weapons he possesses! Ask yourself, Sirius!" Pettigrew defended himself. "What would you have done? What would you have done?"

"I would have died! I would have died, rather than betray my friends!"

"Harry, James wouldn't have wanted me killed! Your dad... your dad would have spared me! He would show me mercy!" His gaze fell on me. "Miss Y/N! Your parents are Aurors. I believe your judgement will be wise like theirs."

I just stared at him speechless. Who would sell their friends to someone just to live?

"You should've realized, Peter, that if Voldemort didn't kill you, then we would! Together!"

"No!" Harry and I said in unison.

"Harry, this man..." Remus stopped.

"I know what he is. But we'll take him to the castle." Harry said then looked at me for approval. I nodded at him.

"Bless you! Bless you Both!" Pettigrew tried to hug us but I pushed him off and so did Harry.

"Get off! Don't touch her. I said we'd take you to the castle. After that, the Dementors can have you." Harry stated.

"Sorry about the bite. I reckon that twinges a bit." Sirius apologized to Ron.

"A bit? A bit? You almost tore my leg off!"

"I was going for the rat. Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog. In fact, more than once, James suggested that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with. But the fleas, they're murder."

"Okay." Harry said.

"You better go." Ron said.

"No. Don't worry, okay? It's fine. I'll stay."

"You go, I'll stay." Hermione said.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine. Go." Ron breathed.

"That looks really painful." Hermione said looking at Ron's wound.

"So painful. They might chop it."

"I'm sure Madam Pomfrey will fix it in a heartbeat." I assured.

"It's too late. It's ruined. It'll have to be chopped off." Ron huffed.

"It's beautiful, isn't it? I'll never forget the first time I walked through those doors. It'll be nice to do it again as a free man. That was a noble thing you did back there. He doesn't deserve it." Sirius said, his eyes travelling to look around.

"Well I just didn't think my dad would have wanted his two best friends to become killers. Besides, dead, the truth dies with him." Harry started.

"Alive, you're free." I finished and smiled at them.

"Turn me into a maggot! Turn me into a flobberworm! Anything but the dementors! Ron! Haven't I been a good friend? A good pet? You won't let them give me to the dementors, will you? I was your rat! Sweet girl! Clever girl you two! Surely you won't let them..." Pettigrew tried to writhe away from Remus's grasp as he begged me, Hermione and Ron.

"Get away from them!" Remus dragged him away from us.

"I don't know if you know, Harry... but when you were born, James and Lily made me your godfather." The nervousness in Sirius's voice could be seen.

"I know." Harry said.

"I can understand if you choose to stay with your aunt and uncle... but if you ever wanted a different home."

"What? Come and live with you?" Harry asked, bemused.

"I think that'll be great. As far as I heard your uncle and aunt haven't been really good to you now were they?" I asked.

"Right." Harry let out a sigh.

"It's just a thought. I can understand if you don't want to-" Before he could finish, the full moon was out and Remus already took a glance of it.

"Harry!" Harry's attention turned to me.

Sirius ran to him and grabbed him which caused him to let go of Pettigrew.

"Remus, my old friend! Have you taken your potion tonight? You know the man you truly are, Remus! This heart is where you truly live! This heart here! This flesh is only flesh!"

"Expelliarmus!" I tried to stop Pettigrew who was again turning into a rat.

"Harry!" Hermione called from behind.

"Remus! Remus! Run! Run!" Sirius shouted at us to run. He then turned into his Grim form trying to stop Remus.

"Come on." He said and grabbed my hand.

"Wait! Wait!"

"Hermione! Bad idea. Bad idea." Ron warned.

"Professor? Professor Lupin?" Hermione called.

Snape then came out pointing his hand at us.

"There you are, Potter!" He snarled but quickly covered stood in front of us as he saw Remus in his werewolf form.

A howl came from another side of the forest. Remus who was in his wolf form caught it's attention then ran to where the sound was coming from.

"Sirius!" Harry cried and darted towards where Sirius who was now transformed back to himself was now walking away to somewhere. I ran after him trying to catch up.

"Come back here you both, Knight! Potter!" Snape shouted.

"Sirius! No. Sirius!" Harry crouched down to where Sirius was lying. He was unconscious by a lake. A ghast of cold wind started. I looked up at the sky and saw hundreds of Dementors coming at us for Sirius.

"Expecto Patronum!" I concentrated at the happy memories of the twins and me.

It was my first time trying to produce one to protect us. I didn't know if I'd be successful. A small light was trying to come out of the end of my wand. Maybe if I try harder it will work. I tried harder but this time I concentrated on the memory of me and George. How he'd flirt with me when I was alone. How he cared for me. How he'd look at me. I smiled as the shower of light formed into the shape of a Y/P. Unfortunately, It didn't last. The light vanished but I saw another luminous light coming from the other end of the river across us. A stag. The Dementors screeched and flew away as both mine and Harry's vision went dark.
