I noticed Ron wasn't very happy about Harry being selected. He was continuously bugging Hermione and me to go Harry to tell him what he wanted to say but since he was mad at him and didn't wanna talk, he wanted one us to go. We walked to the lakeside where Harry was sitting under a tree and Neville was tree knee deep in the doing something.
"We've already been through enough people why don't you just go and do it yourself? Ughh. What do you want me to say again?"
Hermione whispered in exasperation.Ginny and I stood behind them. Harry gave me a 'whats going on?' look and I returned him an apologetic look.
Ron whispered some words to Hermione. It's clear Ron and Harry were not on speaking terms. Hermione walked up to Harry then started speaking.
"Ronald would like me to tell you that Seamus told him that Dean was told by Parvati that Hagrid was looking for you."
"Is that right? Well.... what?" Harry was perplexed.
"Uhhh..." She walked back to Ron for more whispering and came back.
"Dean was told by Parvati that... please don't ask me say it again. Hagrid's looking for you."
"Well, you can tell Ronald-" Harry started but was cut off by her.
"I'm not an owl!" Hermione bursted in anger making us flinch.
Later I was sitting under a tree reading a book the yard. And I heard Draco calling out Harry.
"Why so tense Potter? My father and I have a bet you see. I don't think you're gonna last ten minutes in this tournament. He disagrees. He thinks you won't last five." He was sitting on a tree then jumped down laughing.
Harry was lunging forward to him. But I quickly got up and stopped him.
"Oh, look it's the blood traitor again. Saviour of saint Potter." He commented seeing me.
"Malfoy, Fuck off!" I fired back as the goons behind him made 'oooouuu' sounds then Harry spoke up.
"I don't give a damn what you or your father thinks Malfoy. He's vile and cruel, and you're just pathetic." He spat then started walked away and Draco angrily tried casting a spell. Before I could block it Mad-Eye appeared and quickly turned Malfoy into a ferret.
"I'll teach you to cast when someone's back is turned." He said then started to move him up and down in he air. I couldn't contain my laugh and amazement. I started laughing my eyes widened slightly at the sight.
"Professor Moody what are you doing?" McGonagall appeared.
"Teaching."
"Is that a student?"
"Technically, it's a ferret."
Mad-Eye was still making him hover around. He sent it up the trouser leg of one of Goyle's pants. He squirmed and looked uncomfortable. Everyone else was laughing. Mad-Eye winked to Harry and he laughed. Eventually it came back out and McGonagall turned Draco back to normal. He got up and turned to Mad-Eye frightened.
"My father will hear about this!" He threatened.
"Is that a threat!" Mad-Eye shouted at him as he ran away like a maniac.
"I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair boy! It doesn't end here!" He shouted one last time after him.
"We never use transfigration as a punishment, surely Dumbledore told you that." McGonagall told him.
"He might've mentioned it." Mad-Eye muttered.
"Well, you will do well to remember it." She said then ushered me to join her along with all her students who were standing behind her. Mad-Eye told Harry to come with him then we parted.
Next day the tournament began. The crowds were cheering, people were taking bets. Hermione and I decided to sneak up to the tent where the champions were. We wanted to check on him real quick. I peeked through the curtains and saw Harry pacing nervously. Hermione was standing by my side. I whispered in trying to get his attention.
"Pssst! Harry? Is that you?" I asked as i felt someone.
"Yeah."
"How are you feeling? Ok?" Hermione asked anxiously.
"Not really." He replied.
"The key is to concentrate. After that you just have to..." I trailed off.
"Battle a dragon." He finished my words then I entered the tent and hugged him tightly. He held me back then Hermione went to hug him. A bright camera flashed and we saw Rita Skeeter the journalist approaching.
"Young love! Ohh how.. stirring. If everything goes unfortunately today you might make the front page."
"What?" I asked, venom lacing with my voice.
"You have no business here. This tent is for champions and friends." Viktor came and defended.
She left then Dumbledore entered.
"Good day champions. Gather round please. Now you've waited, you've wondered and at last the moment has arrived. The moment only four of you can fully appreciate. The champions gather around him in a circle." He said then turned to me.
"What are you doing here Miss Knight with Miss Granger?" He asked as I opened my mouth but Hermione pulled me.
"Oh, um... sorry we'll just go." She said then pulled us out of the tent.
We went over sit on the audience bench. I sat between Fred and George. Ron and Hermione sat a bench lower than us. I saw Cedric was the first for the task. The first three of them got the Egg. It was obvious that the fourth champion was Harry.
"Three of our champions have now faced their dragons and so each one of them will proceed to the next task. And now our fourth and final contestant." Dumbledore announced then Harry entered the rocky arena. The crowd was cheering his name. He saw the golden egg sitting alone, he made a run for it but the dragon appeared. Harry's forced to retreat behind a rock as the dragon flamed him. Harry stumbled and fell around the arena. I leaned forward ready to help Harry with my newly discovered magic.
"Your wand Harry! Your wand!" Hermione screamed as I moved my hand causing his wand to flick and move closer to him so it was easy to him to reach for it. Fred and George both noticed the emerald hue on my fingers.
"Bloody Hell! How?" Both exclaimed in unison.
"Surprise, but I like to keep it low-key. If anyone finds out themselves then let them but don't go around telling people." I warned.
"Ay Captain." They said in unison.
Harry summoned a broom. He jumped on and flew off, the dragon gave him a chase. The dragon bursted through the crowd and everyone looked stunned. The dragon started to breathe fire at Harry which caused him to stuggle. I moved my hand slowly from one side to another. The fire from the dragon's mouth stopped. It chocked a bit but kept chasing Harry. The feeling of victory surges through me, making my adrenaline spike. A mischievous grin spread on my face which I didn't notice at first before seeing Harry flying away from and went to the other side. The crowd went silent. Cheering died down as everyone waited.
"Where'd he go?" I asked worriedly as Fred wrapped his arm on my shoulders and from the other side, George grabbed my hand squeezing it lightly.
"Don't worry love, he'll be back." George whispered. I became a worried, blushing mess after he called me that. Bet he didn't even realize that himself.
The crowds were mostly silent. After a few minutes, we saw Harry flying towards us on his broom without the dragon chasing him. The crowd erupted in cheers as he went straight for the golden egg and grabbed it while we all screamed and chanted his name.
