19 Years Later

Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first of September was crisp amd golden as an apple, and as my little family bobbed across the rumbling road towards the scooty station, the fumes of car exhausts and the breath of pedestrians sparkled like cowbwebs in the cold air. The same old familiar train whistle was heard.

George and I walked with our 11 year old son towards the barrier.

"Nervous little one?" George asked our son.

"Kind of." The red head replied as he pushed a trolley with a large cage rattled on top with an owl inside, hooting indignantly.

"Don't be Fred. You'll have your cousins around too." I replied.

"You it gets kinda weird calling our son by my twin brother's name." George joked.

"Shut up, Fabian." I laughed. "We can always call him Hardin since it's his middle name. Can't we?"

Fred jr. looked up at me and smiled.

"Of course, num." He replied. "Uncle Fred likes to call me Hardin too even tho he's honoured that you named me after him."

"Also you won't be alone. You'll soon have a baby sister." George added. "And when she grows up, she'll go to Hogwarts too."

"I can't wait!" He squeeled.

"You know he's so young that he doesn't realize that he's excited about 50% loss of inheritance." George leaned down and whispered to my ear.

What a twisted humoured headed fuck!

I looked around to see if someone was watching us, just as soon as I saw no one's attention was on us, I pinched George's nipples over the shirt he was wearing.

"Owww!" George winced.

"You pull any twisted joked like that again, you'll see what I'll do to you." I threatened him.

"Sorry, your majesty." George lifted his hands up in surrender and chuckled pulling me closer to him wrapping his hand around my waist reaching my stomach as he rubbed my tiny 5 month old bump.

We reached the barrier between platforms 9 and 3/4. George placed his one hand on the trolley and the other on his son's shoulder and broke into a run, pushing the trolley forward, gathering speed and towards the barrier, dissapearing inside. I followed them and emerged on to platform nine and three-quarters, which was obscured by thick, white stream that was pouring from the scarlet Hogwarts Express.

The place was crowed with indistinct chatter. We continued to make our way down the platform in search of our friends, who was now our family too.

"Where's your brother?" I turned to George.

"Somewhere in the crowds, but where's Harry and his lots?" George replied.

I shrugged then suddenly saw Fred speeding up his trolley forward.

"Where's he off to now?" George pulled my hand and we followed him.

We walked on and I saw a familiar platinum blond standing with a raven haired women with a child the same age as Fred jr. but with same blond hair as the man. My eyes met with the stormy grey eyes. Smiling, I nodded at the person as a greeting.

Draco Malfoy.

He returned the smile and gave a nod back. He aged finely like everyone else. Jet black suits never left his style. A proud smile on his face seeing his son was finally off to Hogwarts. His wife was pretty as well. Who knew he'd end up marrying one of the Greengrass sisters.

A few moments later, group of familiar faces was seen from the mist. We walked towards them and as soon as their gazed turned to us, their faces lit up with smiles.

There was Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Fred and Angelina standing with their kids. Fred jr. rushed up to his cousins and greeted them.

"There you are guys!" Fred said as he came to hug George and I. "How are you little freddie."

Fred hugged our son almost lifting him off the ground. Fred jr. laughed, happy to meet his favourite uncle.

"Someone forgot me and I'm offended." Ron's voice spoke up getting little Fred's attention. He ran up to him next to hug him while we greeted the other.

"How are you all?" I smiled and hugged Ginny, Hermione and Angelina.

"Never better." Angelina said. "But girl, you're glowing."

I giggled at her compliment. Angelina would always hype me up along with my other sister in laws.

"You're 5 and a half months far right?" Hermione asked.

"Yup." I said, popping the 'P'.

"I can't wait for another niece. Lily can't be more excited." Ginny said.

"Right? The way George ravishes Y/N, I'm sure there could be more incoming." Angelina joked making me blush.

We three sisters in laws giggled like teenagers then brought our attention to our children and husbands who were chatting with each other.

"Come on everyone, it's nearly eleven, you'd better get on board." Hermione announced to the group of childen.

We kissed all our children and wished them luck. Every was getting on the carriage but Fred jr. stopped amd turned to us.

"What's wrong, bud?" George crouched down to his level.

"What if I'm not sorted in Gryffindor or Slytherin?" He murmured anxiously.

"Fred Hardin Weasley. No matter what house you're in, your mum and I will love you the same." George replied.

I gazed lovingly at my husband then at my son.

"Your father is right." I smiled. "Gryffindor, Slytherin or even outside that, we'll be proud of you anyway. Always."

Fred jr. looked up and smiled at us.

"I love you, mother."

"Love you too, son." I pulled him to me and kissed his forehead.

"And don't forget to write to us." George reminded.

"I won't." Fred jr. said and jumped on to the train.

The doors were now slamming all alone the scarlet traun, and the blurred outlines of parents were swarming forward for final kisses, last minute reminders. Students were hanging from the windows nearest them. The train began to move and I stood alongside Harry, Hermione and Ron with George beside me and Fred with Angelina next to him.

George and I smiled, waving in farewell watching our son glide away. His face already ablaze with excitement. The last trace of stream evaporated in the autumn ait. The train rounded a corner.

"He'll be alright." I murmured to George as he absent-mindedly nodded still looking at where the train dissapeared.

"You know what james told me?"

Our attention was now on Ron.

"What he said?" Harry asked.

"Me, Harry Hermione and Y/N are on the rare cards of chocolate frogs labelled as the four war heroes and the description under it was written, Harry Potter and the Trio who helped him defeat Voldemort." Ron replied, proudly.

"That's great." Harry said.

"Really?" I asked as Ron nodded.

"Yeah, I'm famous." Ron flipped his invisible hair in imitation of a women.

We all broke into a hearty laugh. My gaze cam down at the palm of my hands. I didn't had to use my magic ever since after the war. I didn't think I needed to anytime soon. Didn't really felt like there was going to be any trouble again.

George noticed and gently grabbed my hand lifting it up to his lips and kissed it. He would always do it when he would notice me glancing at my hand. He would always assure me that everything was alright and he loves me. I couldn't be more happier to have a husband like him. And now we had a daughter on the way. Everything was going smoothly. All was well.
