Lover boy?

Did George really love me?

And I'm keeping him hanging all this time?

Was I wasting time?

I do trust him... but do I trust him enough to give myself to him?

Am I capable of loving him?

Do I deserve him?

Maybe I could go to Hermione for help?

All these thoughts kept me awake at that night. Sleep became non-existent. But In the day my mind just kept wandering around these questions. Sometimes Hermione would shake me to snap me out of my reverie.

Later that day in the common room

The tiny vial of Felix felices glimmered in his palm as he and Ron and Hermione an I huddled in the empty dormitory. We exchange glanced then Harry brought the vial up to his lips and drank it.

"Well?" Hermione started.

"How do you feel?" I added.

"Excellent. Really excellent." Harry had a wicked grin on his face.

"Now remember. Slughorn usually eats early, takes a short walk and then returns to his office." Hermione informed.

"Right. I'm going down to Hagrid's."

"What? I started. No, Harry you've got to go see Slughorn. We have a plan-" Harry cut me off.

"No. I've got a good feeling about going to Hagrid's. I feel like it's the place to be tonight, know what I mean?"

"No." Ron said.

"Trust me. I know what I'm doing. Or at least Felix does." He said then left to Hagrid's.

We sat there in silence untill Ron spoke up.

"I'm gonna get some food. You two can have your girl talks." He said then left as well.

"When does he ever not eat?" I asked as Hermione shrugged. "Well speaking of girl talk. I need talk to you."

Hermione nodded then quickly turned her head to me then came closer. I could see the curiousness in her eyes.

"Tell me what is it? Is it about anyone?" She asked giddily.

"How do you know?" I paused making her smirk. "Nevermind. Yes, it is about someone and it's George."

"I knew it! Tell me everything."

I told her about those unanswered questions that kept me awake at night.

"So, you're telling me you're not convinced about George really loving you?" I nodded.

She let out a sigh as If she was about to explain the most basic thing to a child.

"Y/N, open your eyes. Can't you tell the difference between someone loving or just liking you?" She asked as I looked down embarrassed. "Why do you think George became protective everytime Malfoy was around you? Why do you think he would use those tiny gestures on you? Why do you think Ron and Fred teases you about him?"

"Tiny gestures?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Ugh! Y/N, he wants you to know that he cares about you and only you. And did you think about why he fought with you at 4th year at the ball for you going with Cedric Diggory?"

"But Ron did the same thing to you as well..." I mumbled.

"Right..." She blushed then shook her head.

"But whatever. Just give him a chance, Y/N. No man in this world is going to love you more than him. It's obvious that his liking on you has turned into love." She whispered and drapped her one hand around me like I did before.

"I'll think about it. It's not that I don't more than just like him." I whispered back.

"I know. We all know."

"What would I do without you, 'mione?" I giggled.

"Then you wouldn't have existed at all."

We giggled like little girls and sat there in a serene silence then I decided to tell her about what happened with Draco and I in the hospital wing that day.

"You know you're my best friend right? And I can trust you?" I started.

"Hmm." She hummed.

"There's more I need to tell you."

"Go ahead. I'm all ears." She said.

"That day...when Harry used the Sectumsepra Spell on Malfoy..." I paused.

"Then?"

"I was with him at the Hospital Wing. I was wiping his stained blood on my hand. But when I was finished he told something to me. I knew he doesn't want anyone else to know about it."

I told her about the whole thing. She looked like she was about to pitch herself off the tower. Her mouth hung a bit as I finished.

"He didn't."

"Well, that's the thing he did and I still can't believe he said that." She stared at me deep in her thoughts.

"One thing is obvious that he likes you because you're a Pure-Blood witch from a well known family like them. But saying that you should be a Malfoy is just..." She paused for a second and continued.

"Mad innit? Mainly he meant if I'm to marry then I should marry him not... George If he ever... asks me to marry him." I reluctantly said every word and felt my cheek heat up.

"Don't be embarrassed Y/N. We all know he will." She teased and I pocked her in the stomach making her giggle as I joined in.

"Shut up, 'mione." I playfully scolded.

"Or what if Malfoy was just playing tricks on you?" I raised my eyebrows at her statement. " I mean, perhaps he's trying to make you go soft for him so that he could hand you over to... Voldemort. You remember when Dumbledore said in 3rd year that he might be wanting to steal your newly discovered powers?"

"Got a point." I mumbled.
