"Hi. So you all know why we're here. We need a teacher. A proper teacher. One who's had experience defending themselves against the Dark Arts." Hermione awkwardly said.
"Why?" A boy spoke up.
"Why? Because You-Know-Who's back, you tosspot." Ron fired at him.
"So he says."
"So Dumbledore says." This time I fired.
"So Dumbledore says because he says." That boy argued. "The point is, where's the proof?"
"If Potter could tell us more about how Diggory got killed-" Another boy said but was cut off by Harry.
"I'm not gonna talk about Cedric, so if that's why you're here, clear out now." Harry was clearly pissed."Come on, Y/N. They're here because they think I'm some sort of freak."
"Is it true you can produce a Patronus Charm?" Luna's voice was heard.
"Yes. I've seen it." I said.
"Blimey, Harry. I didn't know you could do that." Dean Thomas said.
"And he killed a basilisk, with the sword in Dumbledore's office. It's true." Neville said.
"Third year, he fought off about a hundred Dementors at once." Ron said.
"Last year, he really did fight off You-Know-Who in the flesh." I added.
"Wait. Look, it all sounds great when you say it like that... but the truth is, most of that was just luck. I didn't know what I was doing half the time. I nearly always had help."
"He's just being modest." Hermione said.
"No, Hermione, I'm not. Facing this stuff in real life is not like school. In school, if you make a mistake, you can just try again tomorrow. But out there... when you're a second away from being murdered... or watching a friend die right before your eyes... you don't know what that's like." Harry's voice was melancholic.
"You're right, Harry, we don't. That's why we need your help. Because if we're going to have any chance at beating... Voldemort..." Hermione said.
"He's really back." The youngest boy spoke up.
One by one wrote their name on a paper for joining the secret army. After that we left before umbridge found out about the secret meeting.
"Right. First we need to find a place to practice... where Umbridge won't find out."
"The Shrieking Shack." Ginny suggested.
"It's too small." I said.
"Forbidden Forest?" Hermione asked.
"Not bloody likely." Ron commented.
"Harry, what happens if Umbridge does find out?" Ginny asked.
"Who cares? I mean, it's sort of exciting, isn't it, breaking the rules?" Hermione said all giddied up.
"Who are you and what have you done with Hermione?" Ron joked.
"Anyway, at least we know one positive thing that came from today." I started.
"What's that?" Harry asked.
"Cho couldn't take her eyes off you, could she?" Hermione finished speeding up her walk to hide her smirk.
Later, Neville told us that found the Room of Requirement. It was a one big room. Since then, we started training.
"Stunning is one of the most useful spells in your arsenal. It's a wizard's bread and butter, really. come on, then, Nigel. Give it your best shot." Harry told the youngest boy as he raised his wand up to duel with Harry.
"Stupefy!" Harry was sent flying back. "Good. Not bad at all, Nigel. Well done."
Next Ron and Hermione was up for duelling. Ron whispered something on going easy on her as she thanked her. I saw the twins taking be. I knew Hermione was the brightest and would win easily against Ron.
They both raise their wands up and Hermione was quick to shoot a spell first sending him flying back like Nigel did to Harry. Next it was my turn to go one versus one. George decided to duel against me. Most boys took his side as the girls took mine."You can go wandless if you want." George suggested.
"You sure about that?" I raise my eyebrows and smiled mischievously.
"Yes, it'd be a piece of cake for me." He said with pride as I handed my wand to Hermione.
"You can do magic without a wand?" Padma spoke up.
"Quite." I said then stood against him.
I focused then let the energy flow through my veins letting the emerald green hue transform into a round shape of energy.
George sent a spell at me but I blocked it with my power.Everyone stared in awe as we went on. I shot a spell at him and he dodged it with grace. Minutes passed on as we kept firing spells at each other but blocking it successfully. Everyone cheered as I moved my limps quickly, sent a spell and caught him off guard. It sent him flying across the room. He landed on the ground face first.
The students cheered for me but I ran up to him kneeling down next to him. I cupped the side of his face to have a good look at him while he groaned.
"Are you ok? Im terribly sorry." I apologized.
He put his hand over mine which was cupping his face and smiled. I blushed then quickly removed my hand.
"I'm okay, love. Don't worry." He said and slowly started to get up.
I looked back to see Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Harry with shit eating grin on their face.
"What?" I broke the silence. They coughed and went back on training.
Everyday we came here secretly for training. Being cautious, we entered from one door then exited from the back door. One can never be too careful. The twins and I also pranked Filch by placing a box full of candies but actually were puss filled boils on his table which he kept in front of the entrance door to keep watch on us. But little did we know some were following us and Umbridge knew that we were up to something.
"Working hard is important, but there's something that matters even more: Believing in yourself. Every great wizard in history has started out... as nothing more than what we are now, students." Harry walked around.
"Expelliarmus!" I was suddenly disarmed. I looked over to see Neville successfully did it.
"Fantastic, Neville." Harry complimented as we all girls went up to him and congratulated him.
The class ended. So did the year. We were to leave for Christmas break.
"Well done, Harry." I whispered to him and he thanked me.
"So that's it for this lesson. Now, we' re not gonna be meeting again until after the holidays. So just keep practicing on your own as best you can. And well done, everyone. Great, great work." He said then everyone started leaving.
I noticed Harry glancing at Cho multiple time. I nudged Hermione who understood me.
"See you at the common room Harry." She said as I pulled Ron to leave the room for giving the two some privacy.
