People were going to die tonight. I sprinted through the corridor of the Hogwarts all around the students, teachers and the members of the order were fighting off Death Eaters to protect the school and it's people.

Few will survive the fall but that doesn't mean everyone will. No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy.

So I had to go help and fight like everyone who were against us tonight. I saw multiple students getting disarmed by the Death Eaters. I wasted no time and formed a shield over them everytime to block the spells from hitting them. The spells just hit the shield and absorbed into it, dissapearing. And that just made me stronger.

I kept the sheild still with my one hand and slipped out my wand with the other and threw numerous spells back at them. I even used the killing curses on them letting them lie on the floor, lifeless.

Earning gratitudes from the poeple I protected, I came running towards the first floor of the castle as I continued shooting spells over my shoulder.

I had split from Harry, Ron and Hermione to buy them some time by distracting some Death Eaters that were going to attack them. Harry had to find something.

I came across the Great Hall. It was packed with people, shooting spells back and forth trying to defend or kill. Then I saw a few Death Eaters charging at me.

"Expelliarumus!" I raised my wand and disarmed them. "Avada Kedavra!"

The green light exploded from my wand hitting them across the chest, leaving them lifeless on the floor. I stepped over the bodies, crossing them to get to the middle of the Hall. I sprinted off room to Hermione and the others. In the middle of running, I came across Hermione.

"You alright?" I asked, worriedly.

Hermione nodded and we both walked straight into Great Hall. We opened the doors to see poeple lying lifeless on the floor, students carrying others on stretchers and Madam Pomfrey working on the injured and harmed ones who were fighting before.

I walked down the Hall and saw Harry hugging others. Fred and George stood beside him, comforting. I got closer and saw Remus and Tonks laid on the floor. I felt tears forming in my eyes. They had a son and now he's orphaned, left with a Godfather. Harry saw me then reached over to hug me. I hugged him back.

Next was George. He embraced me as I cried on his shoulders. Fred came from behind and draped his arms over us.

All of a sudden, the same voice rung out in the hall from earlier.

"You have fought valiantly but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forced to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity." Voldemort spoke in a hushed tone.
"Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonour. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, women and child who tries to conceal you from me."

The voice faded and everyone looked around with the look terror on their faces. I turned to see Harry was gone. Ron and I shared as look as Hermione ushered us to go to the corridors to find him.

"We have to find Harry." I whispered to George and he grabbed my hand, stopping me.

"I'll come with you." He said but I shook my head.

"No, stay here with Fred. I'll be back." I gave Fred a nod then went off.

Ron, Hermione and I kept looking but there was no sign of Harry. Hermione sat herself on the bottom of the stairs. Ron planted himself beside her as I stood in front of them.

Then out of nowhere, Harry appeared at the top of the stairs. He looked as miserable as any of us but it was full of fear as well.

"Where were you?" Hermione stood up.

"We've been looking for you everywhere." I said.

"We thought you had gone to the forest, mate." Ron added.

"I'm going there now!" Harry informed.

"Are you mad?" Ron asked. "You can't just give yourself up to him."

"There's a reason I can hear them, the Horcruxes." Harry turned around slowly. " I think I've been known for a while. And I think you have too."

Hermione and I couldn't hold back our tears at this point.

"We'll go with you." Hermione said.

"No! Kill the snake! Harry ordered. "Kill the snake and then it's just him."

I lunged forward to hug my long time best friend. Hermione joined in and we both sobbed into his shoulders. We let go of him and then Ron reached out his hand as they both shook it and shared a hug. Harry then left down the stairs, not looking back.

I couldn't feel any strength of my legs. I sat my myself down a stair and continued my sobbing silently. Hermione cried on beside me. Ron was holding himself back from breaking down in front of us girls. We couldn't do anything but now had let our bestfriend die for the good of the Wizarding world.
