I spent my Christmas at home last year. It was really nice. My friends and I owled back and forth. Now we were back again at Hogwarts, starting our fifth year. It was early in the morning. I got ready and quietly tiptoed out of my dorm. I packed and swung my bag over my shoulders, then went to the Gryffindor common room. After saying the password, I entered and saw Hermione was ready and waiting for me.
"Where are the boys?" I asked.
"They're still sleeping! Come help me get them up." She huffed in exasperation, making me grin.
"Go wake the twins. I'll come with you, then we can go wake Ron and Harry."
"You know it's gonna be a sport waking Ron up." I joked, and she agreed.
We went to the room where the twins were sleeping and started waking them up.
"Freddie, George! Wake up!"
I shook both of them, then suddenly felt a hand grab my wrist and drag me down to the side. It was George's hand. The ginger pulled me down until I sat on the bed. He was awake, yet his eyes were still closed. I saw Hermione at the other end of the room, winking at me before she shook Fred to wake him up.
"George, get up." My voice turned soft and calm. He looked incredibly peaceful. I tried to get up, but he groaned and pulled me back toward his bed again.
"Stay." He mumbled in his deep morning voice.
I blushed furiously as I reluctantly brushed my fingers through his hair. His hair was fiery red and completely fluffy. His eyes fluttered open and stared directly into mine. I smiled at him, which he immediately reciprocated.
"Come on, get up. Fred is up too." Hermione said. I finally managed to pull him up in his bed.
"Get ready, sleepyhead." I said, then went over to where Ron and Harry were sleeping.
Harry was having a nightmare. He was sweating and twisting around in his bed. I shook him awake and handed him his glasses. I turned to Ron, who was still sleeping like a dead man. He suddenly woke up startled, immediately covering his chest with his blanket when he saw us in his room.
"Yeah, Ron, cover your chest." I mocked, which caused Harry and Hermione to burst into laughter. Ron let out a sigh and got up.
"Honestly. Get dressed, and don't go back to sleep. Come on, Ron! Your mother says breakfast is ready." Hermione said.
Soon after, we were walking with Mr. Weasley across the grassland. Hermione, Ginny, and I walked together while the boys walked in front of us, with Mr. Weasley leading the way.
"Where are we actually going?" Harry asked.
"Don't know. Hey, Dad! Where are we going?" Ron asked his dad.
"Haven't the foggiest, keep up!" Arthur called back.
Then we saw a man with glasses waiting for us at the top of a slope.
"Arthur! It's about time, son." He greeted warmly.
"Sorry, Amos. Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start." Arthur apologized.
Suddenly, a boy with brunette hair jumped down from a tree.
"This is Amos Diggory, everyone. He works with me at the Ministry. And this strapping young lad must be Cedric, am I right?" Arthur asked.
"Yes, sir." Cedric said, shaking his hand.
He looked around at everyone, then his eyes caught mine. He stared at me for a few seconds longer than usual. I flushed, then glanced at Ginny and Hermione, who were giggling like absolute maniacs. George, on the other hand, let out a loud groan, causing Fred to pat his shoulder to comfort him.
