The shop was going really great. Business was booming. I helped Fred put and George refill the shelves everyday since the customers were buying many products making the shelves go empty or even stock out.
George and I bonded really well after our first kiss. He loved me like there's no tomorrow. He'd kiss or tease me everytime he gets a chance. He couldn't keep his hands off me.
Harry and Ginny were together, so was Ron and Hermione. Fred was dating Angelina. And I, George. Everything was going well.
But one thing about George was off. He was acting nervously most of the time around me. He would appear out of nowhere in front of me and ask me If I loved him. Also he would always be found whispering with Fred which wasn't very normal of them since no mischief was really caused after their whispering session on 'SeCrEt ToPiC' that they won't tell me about. I even asked Angelina what was going on between the two brothers for they stopped telling me things. However, Angelina would always shrug and tell me not worry. But out of the corner of my eyes, I could always see her smirking.
One night, we all were invited at the Burrow for a get together. My parents were at home and allowed me to stay for a night obviously. They were thrilled to find out that their daughter finally found the love of her life. Arthur and Molly loved my Parent's company and so did they.
After the dinner, we all were in our rooms, getting ready for bed. I changed into my comfy pajamas.
I got out of the bathroom and saw George sitting on the bed, with his back against the headboard. He was fidgeting with his fingers nervously again. The twins now had their seperate rooms since Fred was with Angelina and George, with me. We all needed our privacy. I wouldn't have minded if the twins wanted to stay in a room but they both insisted on choosing seperate rooms since they were staying in the same house.
He caught my eyes and I smiled at him. He said nothing but simply patted his lap, gesturing me to go over there. I bit my lips and giggled. I saw his lips turn up as soon as I giggled, he loved it.
I crawled on the bed, over to him. I straddled him as he wrapped his hands around my waist, holding me closely like he always does. He kissed me my cheek then locked eyes with me. His gaze felt like he was staring deep into soul. I felt so exposed.
"I'm sure you noticed I've been acting rather eccentric for the past few days, am I right?" He asked with his usual calm voice.
My hands were on his shoulders. I snaked my fingers through his hair and played with it.
"And how do you explain why you were being eccentric? What's been cooking between you and Fred?" I raised my eyebrows and half smiled.
He laughed and looked down, then back up to meet my eyes.
"I'm sorry, darling. I have a lot in my head." He sighed.
"Really? A lot which you don't bother to tell me?" I sassed.
"Can I ask you something?" He asked as he fiddled wih the hem of my shirt.
"Spit it out, Fabian." I teased.
"If you had to choose between your life or me, which one would you choose?" He asked solemnly with a ghost of a smile dancing on his lips.
"My life." I replied and his smile dropped.
"So, you don't love me enough to choose me over your life?" He asked. His eyes were flooding with hurt and disbelief.
"That's where you're wrong." I replied softly. "Now you'll be sulking over my answer not knowing that you are my life."
