TW- drug use

After spending the day lounging on the sofa watching 90’s rom com’s eating pizza, you start to come round from the nights events.
Sitting up straight, looking at the time on her phone Jade announces ‘I think we should celebrate last night’s success. There’s a nightclub I have been dying to take you too, come on we can’t stay in on a Saturday.’ She flutters her eye lashes at you.

‘Yea, a night out may be nice.’ You smile back at her.

Whipping through your closet scanning for something to throw together you slip into a dark strappy laced vest paired with some ripped black jeans and heels while Jade opted for a deep maroon velvet skin tight dress.

Heading into the club, the smell of spirits so strong it’s already tingling the back of your throat mixed with the sweat and vibrant aftershave notes waft towards you. Shifting your way through the crowds towards the bar, you can feel the vibrations of the base shudder through the floor and into your chest.

‘Two margaritas please’ Jade calls out over the roar of the music to the barman.

As the drinks slips down, you become relaxed enjoying your evening dancing away the night. You lean in toward Jade to let her know your grabbing a drink before crossing the dancefloor back over to the bar. As you steady yourself on the counter waiting for the bar staff to take your order a man leans in besides you, a smeary smile plasters across his face. ‘Hey, there must be something wrong with your phone. It doesn’t have my number in it.’

Stunned at the casual sleaze in his voice, you don’t even reply. Looking ahead hoping the bartender will come and save you before he continues to talk at you.

‘Go on, feel my jacket. It’s totally made of boyfriend material.’ He moves closer to you reaching for your arm. Just as he gets hold the bar staff who served you before tells him to back off or he will have him thrown out.

Taking your order he starts to mix you another 2 margaritas.

‘’look I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you’ the short slime ball  bellows over the music.

‘it’s cool, just drop it’ you brush him off coldly.

Just as the bartender placed your drinks on the counter Jade appears to your other side flopping her clutch bag onto the counter with a huge sigh of exhaustion, glowing with slight beads of sweat from dancing. You turn to look over to her, unaware that the creep has seen this as the perfect opportunity to slip something into your drink before you pick them up handing one over, Jade gulps hers down while gesturing to the staff for another.

Heading back out to the dancefloor it isn’t long before you start to become disoriented. The music becomes distorted, the words merging into foreign groans drowning out the chatter and conversations around. The lights are blinding your vision, raising you hand in an attempt to cover the brightness your squinting, calling out for Jade. An overwhelming nausea rises within you, you need to get some air.

Heading away from the crowd to the edge of the room, your feet feel light weighted concrete resisting your movements. Struggling to pass, your steadying yourself across dancers weaving between their movements until you reach a wall. Propping yourself against the cool brick to gather your thoughts, it feels nice against your buring cheeks, another wave of nausia hits. Scrambling at the metal bat, the door flings open as you flop out onto the cold gravel of the alley. Your knees sting as they graze against the gravel on the ground as you try to steady yourself.

Letting out a grunt as you try to steady  yourself back up onto your hands and knees, struggling to make sense of what’s happening your hear a defined click.

"Ugh...shit." you mumble thinking you have locked yourself out of the club. No way they are going to let you back in this drunk to find jade. Wait...why am I this drunk?

Your arm give way beneath you and you hit the deck once more. Rolling over to your side, trying to take in your surroundings but it's too bright, the flood light above the door is glaring down on you before a figure steps out blocking your view like a solar eclipse.

"Well would you look who it is."
