Under the warm rays shining through the large bay windows as the early autumn breeze flows, a gentle smile blossoms as your close your eyes leaning into the firm chest of your lover. Thinking back over the last few months your heart overflowing with how grateful you were for your new life, a prosperous career and meeting the man of your dreams.

It has become part of your routine to enjoy lazy Sunday mornings together, laying across your sofa, a thin blanket comforting you as your flicking over the pages of a book. James’s voice is raspy as he spoke through his relaxed state, ‘Read to me doll.’

Shuffling deeper into his chest, resting the open pages against your thigh you began to read.

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..”

After a while, you close the book, fatigue consuming your body, to tired to read your head now rests upon James lap. James lets out a content sigh, you gaze up to his face, darkened by the hair moping over his ocean eyes. Tracing the outline of your face his fingers stroke your cheeks as you nuzzled into his palm. ‘Let’s go away.’

Your response in an amused tone, neither of you were in a good work place to be dropping your responsibilities. ‘oh yeah? Let’s go now. Where would you like to go?’

‘Anywhere. I don’t care.’ James was quite serious with his answer making you sit up spinning onto your knees to face him.

‘Your joking? We hardly manage to put a full day aside for each other. I doubt we will manage a holiday. Plus the expo is just three weeks away and there’s so much to finalise.’

‘’I told you, use my assistants. They will be more can compliant with relieving your workload and I can always have Happy step up his game while we’re away.’ James takes a strand of your hair and running it between his chunky fingers. ‘I just wish everyday was a Sunday.’

Allowing your imagination to picture uninterrupted time together maybe by the beach in the sun, or to Europe, The change from late summer to Fall this time of year will be so romantic. ‘How about after the expo? Me, you and the English countryside?’
