Leaning against one of the structural pillar’s, Paul looked on as you sobbed into the ground. The pain now almost unbearable as you sway battered and bruised from the ceiling. Speaking to Vicky, ‘You know, I hear Birdies new boyfriend has quite the empire. We could make our money back 10 fold without a blink I’m sure.’
Picking locks of your now matted hair with her bony fingers, Vicky snarled, ‘Why anyone would pay for this piece of crap back is beyond me.’
Pulling out his phone again Paul waved it in front of you ‘Why don’t we see exactly what James thinks your worth. I’m sure he has had enough time to mull it over by now.’

Skidding into the dock yard you hear the ringtone to your mobile. Ripping your glove off with your teeth you scramble to answer, ‘Beatrix?’
Paul’s voice filters down the speaker as he smoothly states, ‘I’m sorry Beatrix is unable to come to the phone right now...’
‘Where is she..’ you snap back as you look around the metal jungle, intently scanning every surface for any indication of her presence. Every nerve in your body pulsed, indicating to your henchmen you split up to scour the site. ‘I will find you. And for your sake you best be ready for when I do.’
‘Patience Barnes...You can have her back. Once you do something for me.’ You hear Beatrix cry out in pain as Paul places pressure down on her shattered shoulder, thankfully this was just what you needed as the sound echoed throughout the hollow walls across the junkyard as though she was your own private siren. Letting out a snarled laugh, Paul taunts you. ‘I would get here soon of I was you James...Doll is looking a little peaky.’
Leaving a dust trail in your path, you and the boys fly over to the carcass that was once a cargo ship. Scaling the rusted ladders you clamber aboard silently, taking formation as you search the deck.

Your breath is becoming laboured, the pain consuming you is all too much. James was never going to find you here, and Paul was never going to give up. Allow your mind to wonder, it takes you back to the hotel lobby where you first gazed into the ocean eyes you so regularly became lost in.
Recalling James cool touch against your skin, his warm breath as he kisses your neck while delicately running his thick fingers through your hair, you thought of all the times you had spent lay safe in his arms. Laying warm under the covers as you read aloud to him, hearing his raspy sleep voice as you look up towards his messy hair flopping over his cheeks – something only you get to see.
Closing your eyes, a weary smile spreads across your face and you embrace your own special little piece of heaven.
