Re-joining the expedition you couldn’t keep your hands off Beatrix, wanting to make up for all the lost times you had missed. Your large hands instantly find their home, as your fingers caress the curvature of her spine. You hold her body close to yours, practically lifting her off the ground to rest on your hip as she floats beside you. Sliding the stray hairs from her shoulder, your fingers expose her neck, you note the slight flinch as your hand brushes across the pink scar lining her skin.
Narrowing your eyes at the thought of her pain you lean down to plant supple kisses, smiling as she melts under your touch. Whispering into her ear so only she can hear, ‘Want to go home?’
Leaning back to rest her head on your firm chest, Beatrix’s childish grin was wide and sweet. ‘Home.’__________________
Your head was floating, unable to believe this was happening. You had convinced yourself this was one of the many dreams you have had recently about James, a cruel trick and at any moment you would wake up in your cold apartment alone. Leaning your head back against the headrest of James’ car, you lovingly soak in the content bliss you feel, wishing you could bottle and savour it forever. One hand on the steering wheel James had the other slid between the fabrics of your dress, firmly holding onto your thigh as his thumb strokes the smooth skin of your legs.
Noticing the drive taking longer than expected, tearing your eyes away you gaze out of the window. Shifting to a more upright position in your seat as you see the signposts heading away from Manhattan, puzzled you ask ‘I thought we were heading back to your place?’
Flicking a sharp stare your way before refocusing on the road ahead, James sternly corrected you. ‘Our place, and we are doll.’
Shuffling to look through the rear windscreen of the Audi, James lets out a chuckle at your confusion. ‘But, Isn’t it that way?’Smugly, he lets out a wicked grin taunting you further. ‘Yes. And no.’
Pulling off the highway you see the signs for Teterboro Airport. James continues to drive through the barriers and out onto the runway, pulling up beside a smaller white plane you make out the logo displayed on the sides. Falcon Airlines. ‘James, What’s going on?’
Scooting around the vehicle to open your door, helping you from the car, James’ hand cups the nape of your neck allowing your hair to entangle his fingers. 'We’re going to our other home.’ His eyes twinkled at your bewildered expression. ‘If my memory serves me well, we arranged a trip to Europe after you were done with work and well...you’re finished. I have arranged to fly out tonight, and we will arrive early hours in Paris.’
Twirling you in his arms before leaning back to kiss you passionately, you let out a gasp as you grip his shoulders, ‘You have a house in Paris?’
Tutting as he helps stand you back firmly on two feet, ‘We do. Now get on the plane before I change my mind!’ laughing as he lands a playful tap to your bum as you skip up the stairway.
