The Entity's realm, years ago

"Danny, be careful!"

The Ghost Face grabbed the porch column of an old house on Lampkin Lane to hoist himself up onto its roof. He slammed his boot onto the railing before vaulting up.

"I'm okay, sweetheart." Danny chuckled as he walked along the porch roof, his boots clambering down onto it noisily.

I crossed my arms and watched my boyfriend look around and then down at me.

"What're you doing up there, anyway?" I tilted my head with a goofy smirk.

His mask was on but I could tell he was smirking too. "Take my hand." Danny held out his hand for me.

"What if I fall?" I fretted, gazing upon the old architecture of the porch roof.

"You won't fall. I gotcha." Danny said with his hand inching closer to me.

I hesitantly latched onto the gloved hand reaching out. Danny's strong arm hoisted me up with him onto the porch roof. I squeaked as his leather clad arms snaked tightly around my waist to help me with my balance. I moved my hands up his chest and looked down at the ground I was just on.

"See? Told you I gotcha." Danny rasped out.

"Thanks, babe." I giggled against him.

Danny took me by the hand along the porch roof to the actual house roof which was much higher. The Ghost Face and I sat silently on the roof, me snuggling closer into his side. Danny wrapped his arm around my shoulder and finally took off his mask to give me a soft kiss on the top of my head.

"Cool view." I commented.

The Entity's artificial moon glowed cold in the murky sky of the suburban realm. From the high rooftop we could see the top of the scraggly trees where the crows perched. The black birds cawed and sawed through the thick air of Lampkin Lane. Some fluttered down onto the street, picking at any leftover blood or flesh from previous trials.

No trial or Michael Myers here tonight. Just Danny and I.

I wasn't a survivor anymore. Danny took me in for his own somehow after killing and killing. I looked up at the man from his shoulder with a warm smile. Danny gazed lovingly down at me and planted another gentle kiss to my forehead. I closed my eyes as I leaned against him, reminiscing on our months spent here together.

Months ago

I walked across the realm with the Ghost Face by my side. Blood had splashed upon his leather cloak the shade of a muddy red.

"Only a few more trials and you're out of here." Said Danny.

"I don't get it. Why do you even like me? I didn't do anything." I replied.

We walked further into the realm, he was taking me to where he saw the hatch. Danny suddenly paused and turned to look at me in the distorted moonlight. The white mask almost had a blue tinge to it in the dark below the trees. I stared longingly into the black eyeholes, awaiting the answer.

Why? Why me?

"I don't know. When I look at you, something changes. It sounds stupid and cheesy and dumb but something about you makes something in me change. You make me wanna change. I just knew from the moment I saw you that you didn't belong here, okay? You were just too innocent. There was no way that you deserved to wind up here. Look, this is new to me but... I just really like you, okay?" Danny talked with his hands a lot.

He didn't understand what he was feeling or why. I stayed silent, not knowing where to look or what to do with my own hands.

"I... thank you." I uttered.

I stared down at my shoes as I heard a shuffling sound of his mask slipping off. Danny's hand met my chin and gently lifted it to look into my eyes.

"You're so beautiful." Danny cooed.

"Kiss me, you doofus." I smirked playfully.

Danny chuckled before locking me into a heated kiss. I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck when I felt his gloved hands snake tightly against my waist.

I opened my eyes. My gaze met that of the moon. It seemed to loom over us in the freezing dark of Lampkin Lane. Danny's grip around my shoulders was firm and protective as if he was prepared for anything to jump out and attack me.

"It's mad, isn't it?" I broke the comfortable silence.

The Ghost Face hummed in acknowledgment, leaning his head against mine as he snuggled me closer. I noticed that his mask was now next to him and his hood was down, his pale face exposed to the crisp air.

"It's mad how it just recreated all this. Took us from all our little timelines and put us here." I gestured to the faux suburban street before us and the unloved house we were sitting on top of.

"Yeah..." said Danny. "You know what's even more mad?" He asked. It was my turn to hum at him in acknowledgment, my curious eyes peering up at him. "It created all these realms, corrupted all these killers and took all these survivors..." the man trailed. "And you're still the most beautiful thing here." He smiled. I immediately blew a raspberry at him and rolled my eyes so hard, it made the sockets ache. "What?" Danny sputtered.

"Come on..." I groaned playfully.

"It's true! You're the prettiest thing I've ever seen in my whole life." The killer argued.

I looked down and stifled a bashful laugh. A loving sigh left my lips before I met his eyes again. I smiled softly and he beamed one back.

"Danny...?" I whispered.

"Yeah, honey?"

"I think I'm in love with you."

At first I panicked after saying that. My brain flooded into a hyper noncommittal runaway bride mentality before trying to calm itself down in the very same millisecond. I tried to open my mouth again to say something but no words came out. All the thoughts and worries left my head when I saw the small glint of life in his dead dark eyes. Everything about this man suddenly spoke to me lovingly as I closed my eyes again for a brief moment.

Two weeks earlier

I stroked Danny's black hair as he nuzzled deeper into my chest. My fingers tangled with the short strands while I leaned back against the headboard. I had been dragged out of my slumber by a sick Danny laying next to me. He had already rushed to the bathroom to barf twice this morning. I had to practically drag him back to bed after he collapsed headfirst into my lap on the bathroom floor.

The Ghost Face had not realm of his own. Instead he had his own little corner like how he did when he was in the real world. From peeling floral wallpaper, to dozens of gruesome photographs splattered across the walls, this was our home. Tiny nineties tv and all.

The Entity would never let its killers get sick. But Danny told me earlier that it was punishing him. Apparently he had been distracted during trials. He said he was worried about me. I told the man to do his job and do his job well so he could come back to me afterwards healthy.

Besides, what else could the Entity possibly do as punishment?

"You take such good care of me." Danny croaked against me.

I kissed the top of his head. "I'm never not gonna, honey."

I opened my eyes again.

I jolted in surprise and squeaked when a pair of lips met mine almost forcefully. A raspy needy breath murmured lovingly against my flushed face.

"I love you too."
