Trigger warning: domestic abuse, body-shaming, blood, and mentions of self-harm.

I feel so bad having to write this chapter and put such warnings up, but I had to and I know that some of you might find this a lot triggering, which is why I suggest u mentally prepare urself before reading.

My dms are always open and so are my comments. Please don't force urself to read some of the parts written, I'd hate to make you guys feel such things.

You can play the song throughout the entire chapter on repeat, just to add more to the scenes :)

ONE LAST THING: Cassy's face claim is addison rae, do what u want w that info.

Goodluck, i love u.

Luella Jones

8 years ago- age: 10

When do I get to go home, this is exhausting. ugh.

"Yeah, well, mum is gonna buy me more of the rings next time she goes." I see her showing off that strawberry ring again on her finger, smiling as the others keep gasping at how pretty it is.

I mean, yeah, it's just so pretty.

"That's so cool Cass! Did your mum bring you that necklace as well?" Raya says loudly, making Cassy shake her head.

"No, my dad actually bought this for me from Russia, he just came back from there a few days ago." She smiles.

Can we get this over with already, when does lunch time end anyway.

I look over at the clock for the tenth time this hour, seeing it at 1:43pm. Seven more minutes I repeat to myself, my leg bouncing under the table in anxiousness.

"Luella, don't you like my ring?" I hear Cassy ask me, tilting my head back to where we're all sitting in the lunch table.

"Yea, it looks good." I murmur lightly.

She laughs.

"You poor kid, you're not used to seeing those haven't you? It's okay, I'll show you more once my mommy brings me more of them, I know you don't buy those kind of stuff." She pouts at me.

I just nod and form my lips into a line, too tired to even respond to her this time.

"Look- she doesn't even know what to say, it's too sad to watch." Amara speaks up instead, laughing.

I keep my head low, counting the last five minutes.

"Her mom doesn't buy her anything. They're too poor to spend money on accessories, instead she buys candy and eats them all with the money." Cassy states, clenching my jaw I find it hard to defend myself.

"Explains where all that fat came from." Amara laughs at her stupid joke, Cassy and Raya joining in as well.

"I'm not fat." I mutter quietly, staring down at the tray of the untouched food that I put on earlier.

"What was that Luella? You're fat?" Cassy grins and they all laugh loudly at me, making it hard not to cry anymore.

"It's okay to be fat, what's not okay is not admitting it." Amara stands up, Raya following along and Cassy just grabs my plate of spaghetti, standing next to me.

I immediately back away in my seat, but they all gather around me quickly I don't have room to stand up anymore.

"You know Luella." Cassy starts, holding the plate in one hand and the other hand on her hip. "Lying to yourself won't help, maybe try going on diets instead of eating everything in your fridge, 'may help you."
