"Katara you look fine! Now come out, we're already late!" Sokka calls from outside.

"Okay fine!" I say finally coming out into the corridor in a sparkling blue frock. "What do you think?"

"You look beautiful," he says, leaning in to hug me.

"Thanks," I reply, walking to the front door.

"So, what's the deal with you and Zuko?" Sokka says, stepping inside the car.

"What do you mean?" I ask casually, taking a seat at the front but I can feel the redness in my face.

"I know you like him," Sokka says with a straight face.

"What! That's ridiculous! Who told you?" I say, furious.

"Aang told me," Sokka says, turning into Yue's driveway. "He says you have a crush on him."

"You're saying it like you've never had a crush before. Remember Yue?" I ask him, rolling my eyes.

"Yue's my ex," he scoffs. "And besides, we're friends now."

"What about Suki?" I ask cheekily. "You two seem to be hanging out quite a lot recently."

"Suki's my best friend and things between us aren't romantic in anyway," Sokka continues but I can tell he's lying. "And stop avoiding the question! What is the deal between you and Zuko?"

"I don't know," I mutter, looking out of the window. What was the deal between me and Zuko?

"He's clearly playing you!" Sokka exclaims, getting out the car. "Just stay away for him! I think he's planning something."

"You don't know what you're talking about," I say, secretly  admiring the large white pillars of Yue's marble mansion as we walk to her porch.

Sokka rolls his eyes and knocks on the door. "Actually, I do."

"Is this because of Jet?" I ask him angrily.

Sokka gives me a frustrated look. "Of course it is!"

"Katara, Sokka you came!" Yue says, opening the grand door to her mansion. She looks gorgeous in her magnificent white ballgown decorated in glittery pearls.

"Thank-you for inviting us!" I tell her, handing her a bouquet. "You look beautiful!"

"You too, I love your dress!" Yue says, putting the bouquet down on what looks like a table made of pure crystal. "And thank-you for the flowers! You know it's not my birthday right?"

"I know but, I know how much this party means to you," I say as she guides us into the hall. "Sorry if it's not what you wanted.|

"Don't worry about it! No one else who came bought me a present," Yue says kindly.

The whole house is decorated in silver ribbons and everyone is dressed up in either a gown or silk suit. I spot Toph and Aang by the drinks table; Aang is wearing a grey blazer over a shirt and Toph is wearing a detailed green frock.

"Hey," I call, walking over to them. I slowly turn to face Aang who folds his arms. "I'm sorry Aang, I know what I said was -unacceptable. Please forgive me."

"It's ok," he says, smiling. "We're cool."

"We are?"

"Yeah," he laughs. "You were right about me being a jerk. I have no right to comment on your love interests."

"But you're the Avatar..." I begin, speechless.

"I know, but the point is- we're friends," he says casually, pouring me some punch. "Here."
