On Ji liked Aang the minute she'd met him. He was funny and kind, two things she admired very much, but she knew Aang didn't feel the same way once she'd seen him hand in hand with Luya Sansrow.
However, after Winter Break, On Ji noticed something different about Aang, other than his head full of hair of course. He ignored Luya when she tried to talk to him, and instead talked, or even flirted with On Ji. This made Luya extremely self conscious of course, but On Ji didn't care, mostly because Luya was very annoying.
"Who was that boy you were talking to?" Hide, a boy in On Ji's Math's class, asked.
"The Avatar," On Ji replied with much joy.
"Do you like him?" Hide asked, slamming his fist into the locker beside him.
"Yes," On Ji replied brightly, thinking of Aang.
"On Ji, I'm your boyfriend, which means you can't talk to other guys," Hide waffled and On Ji rolled her eyes arrogantly.
"I'm not your girlfriend, Hide. I never was. Please understand that," she said as politely as she could.
"Are you joking," Hide said, running his fingers through his hair.
"No," On Ji told him strictly, slowly moving away.
"Then I guess I'll have to fight the Avatar himself," Hide called and On Ji did her best to ignore him.
