Aang didn't come into school the next day and Suki knew why, even before Yarla told her. On Ji and Aang's affair was all over the news.

"Suki!" Katara ran up to her in a short black dress, her hair in waves and her skin glowing gold.

"Kat-is Sokka in today?" Suki asked her.

"No. He's not coming in today," Katara replied sadly.

"Is he ill?" Suki opened her locker, and valentines day cards burst out, along with a few bouquets of flowers and boxes of chocolates. She slowly picked them up, bringing her attention back to Kat.

"No, um," Katara began nervously. "He's taking drugs, Suki," she whispered in Suki's ear.

"Sokka? Taking drugs? That doesn't sound right," Suki chuckled but secretly she was very anxious.

"I thought maybe, you were giving them to him, or you would know who is," Kat mumbled quietly.

"Katara, I think Sokka's in a very dark place right now, but that doesn't mean you have to be too," Suki smiled, clasping Kat's hand. "It's Valentine's day. Have some fun with your boyfriend, okay?"

"But, Sokka-" Kat started, her eyebrows drawing together with concern.

"I'll handle it."

"Are you sure?" She sounded very surprised, so naturally Suki was offended. Sokka was her best-friend, so if anyone was going to help him, it was her.

"I'll visit him today," Suki kindly told Katara.

"Thank-you," she squeaked just as Yarla approached Suki.

"Get any cards? Because I sure didn't," she sighed.

Suki opened her locker, letting everything fall out, and Yarla turned to her, speechless. "Suki! You have every girl's dream locker," she gushed.

"Hey Suki," a random guy in their year choked. "Did you get my card?"

"I'm sorry but who are you?" Suki chuckled.

"Nathan," he replied, pulling out a neatly wrapped card in yellow from the pile of Valentine's day cards on the floor. "This is mine."

He handed it to Suki, who ripped it open, letting 20 Yuan fall to the floor. "You got me money? That's so sweet!" she exclaimed, shoving the note in her handbag.

"Did Carlos got you card?" Yarla asked. "Check."

Suki gave her a look. "He doesn't like me, Yarla," she sighed. "But I'll check in case he did."

Wylan watched as the two desperately opened each and every envelope. "See, I knew Carlos wasn't going to send me a card," Suki said, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice. Her relationship with Carlos was complicated. She was physically attracted to him, but his personality disgusted her. Or she thought it did at least. "I'm surprised Haru and Leroy sent me cards though."

"Who's Leroy?"

"My drug dealer," Suki whispered cheekily.

"You take drugs?" Nathan took a step back, mortified.

"Don't tell anyone!" Suki yelled at him as he ran away.

"Don't tell anyone what?" Khori sniffed, wrinkling her nose. "I see you've received a ton of cards and school hasn't even started yet."

"You haven't?" Suki asked innocently, and Yarla nudged her.

Khori glared at them intensely, the pigment in her bottle-green eyes swirling like a tsunami. "Let me guess, Carlos got you card?" Khori said, folding her arms.

"No, he didn't," Suki said, closing her locker.

Immediately, Khori's lips curled into a smile. "He didn't?" She looked very surprised. "But last week he asked me what your favourite flower was."

He did?  "Oh." Suki's eyes bulged in surprise.

"Let's go," Yarla whispered in Suki's ear, pulling her by the arm.

"Yeah let's go," Suki replied, still watching Khori.

As Suki and Yarla headed to class, Carlos and his friends passed them. "Hey Su," he called flirtatiously.

"F*ck off," Suki mumbled, and he gave her a terrified look. She was very mad at him for not giving her a card, and was never going to get over it.

After school, Suki headed straight to Sokka's house. She banged on his door until he finally opened the door sulkily, and Suki rolled her eyes.

"Apparently you're taking drugs now," she said, following him upstairs and into his room.

Sokka sat down on his bean bag and put on his headphones. "I am."

"Seriously?" Suki exclaimed.

"What's your problem?" Sokka snapped back.

"What's my problem?" Suki yelled, hitting his console away.  "Sokka, my problem is that you, are taking drugs! Who misses school because they're high?"

"Me," Sokka replied shamelessly.

"What are you taking?" Suki asked quietly.

"Nothing strong. Just cocaine," Sokka nodded to the packet of white powder on his bed.

"Why isn't it hidden? What if your Gran Gran finds it?" Suki immediately tucks it under his pillow.

"Suki, relax. Gran Gran never comes into my room," Sokka replied casually.

"Are you taking them because of Toph?"

Sokka didn't answer. "That's it!"  Suki stormed up to his Mover Player and unplugged it. "We're going to that party!"

"Suki!" Sokka exclaimed, attempting to turn his Mover Player back on.

"Come on Sokka, you haven't socialised in ages!" Suki said. "I need to change, can I use your bathroom?"

"Go ahead," Sokka grunted, turning back to his game.

"I'm being serious though, Sokka. We're going to that party," Suki called from the bathroom.

"Do we have to?" Sokka whined.

"Yes! I need to get you and Toph need to get back together. You should have seen the way Toph looked at me like she was going to break apart my skull with her bare hands." Suki shuddered.

"Fine," Sokka sighed and Suki squealed in excitement, coming out of the bathroom in a cute little pink dress.
