"So, how are you guys finding school so far?" Katara asks, fixing her hair.

"Principal White keeps forcing me to join the school pro-bending," Toph complains. "What about you guys?"

"I actually want to try out for the pro-bending team. It's been my dream since I was a little girl," Katara replies before turning to me. "Aang?"

"I'm just focusing on learning all the elements right now," I say with a straight face. "I can't have anything else on my mind. I'm avatar and it's my duty to master all the elements."

Suddenly, a football comes flying at Toph and hits her on the head.  "Hey!" she roars angrily.

"Sorry," the fire-bending boy from the assembly demands, his hood on and his hand in his pockets. "Can you pass the ball back?"

"HELL NO!" Toph snaps. "How dare you kick that at me?"

"Little blind girls can't see," Zuko scoffs. The boys behind him start laughing. "Now give me the ball before we start attracting attention."

"NO!" Toph shouts, holding the football protectively.

"Just give me the ball!" Zuko hisses, lunging forward.

"Stop!" I yell at him. "Don't talk to my friend like that!"

"What are you going to do about it avatar?" Zuko sniggers. "Blow some air in my face?"

Once again, Zuko's friends start laughing furiously.

"You want me to bend?" I ask him, my nose flaring. "Oh, I'll bend!"

Angry as ever, I slide into my signature helicopter formation and a gust of wind comes flying at Zuko. He gracefully dodges it. I don't know how he sensed it coming. Only air nomads can see air.

Zuko walks up to me bravely with a flame of fire floating a few inches over his palm. I take a few steps back, panicking.

"Here! Take the ball!" Toph barks, rolling the ball to Zuko. He ignores it and keeps walking towards me.

Katara runs in between us. "Please don't hurt him!" she begs and Zuko looks down at her, shocked and confused. He blushes, before turning to me angrily.

"I'll let you off this once, but only because of her," he warns, signalling to Katara.

"Thanks Beifong," Zuko says, picking up the football. "Sorry about hitting you in the head."

"I don't forgive you Honour Boy," Toph snaps at him as he walks away with his friends.

"Why did you do that?" I ask Katara angrily as we sit back down on the table. "I could have handled him on my own!"

"He was about to hurt you!" Katara says furiously. "I was helping you!"

"I don't care! You made me look like a coward in front of the whole school. Why would you beg   him for mercy? That's bull sh*t," I scoff, folding my arms.

"It's my fault," Toph interrupts. "I shouldn't have picked a fight."

"No, you had the right to say that to him. It did seem like he kicked you on purpose," I say, trying to remember what happened.

"He did not!" Katara exclaims, suddenly up on her feet. "That's just how football works. After all, I should know. My brother forces me to play everyday in our back yard. Accidents like this  happen all the time."

"Are you on his side?" I ask her angrily.

Katara's eyes brighten. "Of course not! I just-"

"You don't still like him, do you?" Toph asks her quietly.
