Chapter 33 : Zuko 🔥| The FN Boyz

FEBRUAURY 

Zuko tried to get along with Carlos, but he had to admit, it was difficult. He knew befriending Carlos was crucial if he wanted his shitty FN boys back, but wished it wasn't.  

Zuko had been replaced by Carlos.He wan't as rich as Zuko, but he was General Zhao's son, meaning he still had a worthy title and background to flaunt. He was a pro-bender, but Zuko hoped he wasn't too good and that he would join the team because, he loved the unlimited attention he received from Coach Jha.

To make matters worse, they were paired up in Science. Zuko was hoping to go with Suki, but she decided to go with Ty Lee. He thought this was very strange, as the two hated each other days ago, but he didn't think much of it. Zuko tried to make conversation with Carlos.

"So," Zuko began and Carlos glared at him. "What's the deal with you and Suki?"

"What?" Zuko could tell he was panicking, and he liked it.

"Are you guys friends?" he said casually, watching Carlos set up their Science practical.

"I think she hates me," Carlos chuckled. "But I like her."

Eager to know more, Zuko moved closer towards Carlos. "You've been at this school for a month, right?" he asked.

"Yeah," Carlos replied cooly.

"So that means you've known Suki for a month. That's not a long time," Zuko pointed out, fixing his lab-coat.

"No, but I sit next to her in a class so we talk a lot," Carlos said and Zuko was suddenly jealous.  Suki never talks to him a lot. Even now she chose to pair up with Ty Lee. Zuko was feeling very replaced. Is Carlos her new fire-nation buddy?

"Why do you think she hates you?" Zuko asked curiously and Carlos cleared his throat.

"Watch, okay?" he instructed before yelling. "Suki!"

Suki rolled her eyes Sat him before returning to her work. "Don't worry Carlos, when you wave at me, I'll wave back," Maya said, almost gushing.

"Thanks Maya," Carlos said wearily and Zuko patted his shoulder.

"She hates you," he chuckled and Carlos shrunk into his chair. 

"Valentine's day is here soon and I was thinking of giving her a card. I changed my mind though," he told Zuko, sighing.

Zuko peered through his goggles. "Why?"

"Because she'd probably burn it."

Zuko was thinking about doing something special for Katara on Valentines day, but every time he asked Toph for ideas, she shut him down. Sokka and Suki hadn't been sitting at their table for weeks and it pissed Zuko off. Was their group falling a part?

"Where's Sokka and Suki?" he asked Aang eventually.

"You don't know?" Aang replied, scratching his head.

"No," Zuko scoffed, feeling very left out.  

"Last month,Sokka cheated on Toph with Suki."

Zuko dropped his fork. "And no one told me?!" - he was furious.

"I didn't want you to know," Toph replied, frowning slightly. "I knew you'd pity me like everyone else, and I, I didn't want you to see me as some weakling."  

"I couldn't care less about you being a weakling!" Zuko snapped. "I care about being excluded from so called' friends'!" 

"We're not excluding you Zuko," Katara replied, trying to comfort him.

"Yes you are. It's been a month since this scandal happened and no one thought tell me!" Zuko exclaimed, getting up.

"Zuko-" Aang said, trembling. "Please."

"I'm gonna go sit with the FN boys," he said rudely, walking away.
